Bowser's Big Blast (Mario Party 2)

Bowser's Big Blast is a battle minigame from MP2. All 4 players line up and choose one of the 5 switches. 4 of them are safe and one will detonate the Big Bowser head and will be eliminated. Then there are 3 players but 4 switches until one lucky player is the last one stadning.

There was also another version in MP4 called Bowser's Bigger Blast which is the same, except has a bigger blast.

I really liked this minigame and I thought it was really fun! It has massive tension when you really need to win the minigame and it just has a good concept.

Another blast would be my 2000th post!!! Oh yeah! O0

Yep. It's easy to play, but getting the right switch requires a bit of luck. It's random each time you play, and each time you start a round, even if all the players successfully pressed all the safe switches. I hate it if I go out too early.

And congratulations on your 2,000th posts, Yoshi1! Now go and catch up to H-J! And then go for 2,500 and then 5,000. And then to me!

They could, but I think they're programmed to check to see if it was a real switch or a dud.

This involved one of the most annoying elements in Mario Party. LUCK. By that, I hated this minigame, yet the presentation was ight.

Anyway, this one is alright, I always win since I'm very lucky lol. I normally choose the switch that had the bomb before, or choose whatever.

Usually the red and silver had bombs so I never pick them early.

I loved how unforgiving the 3-2-1 countdown was, like those would be the worst 3 seconds ever where you had 3 seconds to do anything from curse out your game to throwing something in anger. The whole drama that went into what you can say a simple luck game made this a classic.

I lost when I, you know, got unlucky. But I usually always finished in the top 2 at least.

This minigame reminds me of the bomb minigame in MPDS.

Lol. I remember my friend throwing a fit since he usually went up first and as always, he picked the wrong one. I, too, could not beat anybody at this. I was usually the first or second person to get eliminated. This was a battle game that really shook up my rankings. Big dealbreaker.
