For me, graphics can determine a lot. Usually, the games with better quality are better, but not always. I enjoy basic and enjoyable graphics. I always enjoy looking at the artwork of the newer characters, because it makes the game feel more futuristic, or is that just me? :P I just don't enjoy...

Now compare how many times Toad has been playable compared to Paratroopa... Toad is a more common Mario character.

I've noticed that Paratroopa has been in larger rosters, and plus, it wouldn't make sense with him and not someone like Koopa or Paragoomba. Take Super Sluggers, for example. Plus, he's already on the sidelines, unless it's the Lakitu situation from MK7.

Oh, I keep getting those two mixed up. Then of course not, he hasn't been in a game since Sunshine. (Those two look ridiculously similar)

Based on his list, Funky Kong, Paratroopa, Goomba, Luma, and Shadow Mario have no chance. @LP: Why would Shadow Mario be playable? He hasn't even made an appearance since SMGSunshine, and plus, he's a Mario clone.
