Why I don't like CoD

Nononono, the children that play CoD will scream so many obscenities at you if they get a tiny bit angry, you are putting it a nice way.

While I do play the campaign of the games myself, I'm not the one who buys them. My Dad buys the game because it is his style. I don't feel I can get into it, because of how bad I am at online shooters (say for Halo) and yeah. The thing about CoD is that the workers don't have that long to work on it, they constantly use the same engine from the second one I believe. It's not that it's unoriginal, because face it, if you have a gun, go online and kill people, it's always the same bloody thing. I may not care for the games, but it's not because they're bad, it's the negative impulse I see from the other players that makes me not want to play it.
 
I'm not by any means a crazy huge Call of Duty fan, but I've played it before (my brother owns a 360) and I don't think it's necessarily that bad.
The whole series at first was a pretty interesting idea, I loved the campaign of the first Modern Warfare game. I really think the series shouldn't be releasing a game every single year though, it's the exact same engine rehashed with minor improvements. The games are pretty dull and unoriginal at this point, there's only so many things you can do to make gunfight and war "fun."

How fun it is depends on whether you like shooters or not. When I was younger, I was awful at shooters so I didn't enjoy them very much. Now I don't think they're that bad. I have to disagree with the graphics though; with the right TV and hook-ups, the graphics are incredible especially compared to Nintendo games.

But I have to agree with Chaos, there's a lot of negativity online.

This is only my personal feel, but playing online makes Call of Duty not fun at all(sorta like how playing Mario Kart Wii isn't; Goddamn hackers). Just makes it a hassle to play.

However, I find Call of Duty enjoyable when I play with my cousins NOT online and also when I just want to shoot things up.

Except Medal of Honor is actually more enjoyable to play. First time I played Medal of Honor: Vanguard, I actually got so intoxicated into it I wanted to just keep on playing. I messed around a lot too before I actually decided to complete the game.

Something about Medal of Honor just strikes me as a better game than Call of Duty.

But yeah. It was Medal of Honor that pretty much INVENTED Call of Duty. I think people just got sick with Medal of Honor and then a shitstorm of Call of Duty games just broiled up and it went out of control.

I could care less about graphics. But the graphics in Call of Duty are actually really good and have a nice appeal.

I think the problem is more with people saying, "OH MAN, THOSE GRAPHICS ARE SO HARDCORE, THAT'S WHAT MAKES A GAME! IT'S WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT.". Hahahahahaha, no.
 
I wouldn't mind CoD so much if it wasn't for the fucking fanbase. They are just as bad as Mario fanboys. If you criticize even one thing about the franchise, they just hack away at you with mindless obscenities. Most of them think it's the coolest shit ever when there are far better shooters out there.
 
COD is a fun multiplayer game that I have no problem playing. But I do have a problem with what is essentially an upgrade every year. I own Black Ops and that is all I need.

To be fair, I think a majority of the Mario fanbase is disappointed with the direction that New Super Mario Bros. 2 went. And by direction, I mean it didn't move anywhere.
 
CoD is the main reason why a lot of people have poor grades at my school. Honestly, it's best not to play it in the first place. It's definitely not original but I wouldn't say it's not fun, otherwise millions of people wouldn't be playing it. The worst part is some younger children get too curious and think "OMGDISLOOKSLEIKDABESTGAMEEVA" and once they start playing it, they're completely addicted. They then abandon other consoles and start trolling all Nintendo/ PS videos saying "Dis is crap" just because it's not XBOX related.

I'd say CoD would be worth it if people only played it occasionally, but unfortunately it's been proven in a lot of cases that it's best to just avoid it in the first place.

Which is why I am the smartest person in my year group. I barely play it.
 
You know, I also hate how critics of CoD also make the debate worse by saying stupid shit like "CoD causes bad grades in my school." Maybe they just suck at school? Don't pin the blame on social or economic issues on a gaming franchise. That's just stupid.
