Prologue

One day, in the land of Hyrule, Princess Zelda and her good friend Link were walking along a dust-beaten trail. Then, they came upon a strange mushroom with a portal-pattern on it. Zelda picked it up.

"Link, do you know what this is?" she asked.

"I haven't the foggiest," replied her green friend. But what the two did not know was that their greatest nemesis, the King of Darkness himself, Ganondorf, was following them. Princess Zelda turned the mushroom over multiple times in her hands as Ganon crept closer, and closer, and closer... Suddenly, the mushroom shone a bright light and the three were sucked into a portal in the sky!
 
Chapter One

"Hand over the princess, and the rest of you will not be harmed!" yelled out a gruff voice.

"Toadsworth, what should we do?" asked a sweet, gentle voice.

"Well, we must evacuate the castle, Princess! If Bowser were to infiltrate our palace and kidnap you, I will likely fall into an eternal panic mode!" Toadsworth replied.

"All right, but we have to make it snappy," the Princess said. So, the two quickly headed down the stairs to escape via the back door, but by then it was too late. Bowser had knocked the door down!

"Bwa ha ha ha! Now, hand over the Princess or I'll burn you to a crisp before I take her!" Bowser demanded.

"Princess, run and escape! I'll hold him off for a few seconds!" Toadsworth moved into a protective position in front of Peach. But she could not get herself to leave Toadsworth in such a predicament, so she stood behind him, rooting herself to the spot. "Princess, now! You must escape!"

"Ha ha ha! Looks like I'll just roast you before I grab her away!" But at that moment, a portal appeared overhead and out popped a big, fat man in a very intricately-designed robe.
 
Chapter Two

"What in the world? Where am I? Who are you people?!" Ganondorf demanded.

"Out of the way, idiot-brain! Can't you see I'm trying to kidnap the Princess?!" Bowser shoved Ganondorf.

"How dare you insult me like that!" Ganondorf created a ball of plasma and shot it at Bowser, electrocuting him and causing him to fall to the ground unconscious. Then he turned to Peach who, along with Toadsworth, seemed to have fallen into a state of calm. "A princess, eh? I could use her in my nefarious schemes!" he muttered to hiimself. And with the blink of an eye, he kicked Toadsworth into the kitchen sink and grabbed the Princess with such speed that it seemed like she had warped out of the room! But he had accidentally set off the "Peach Has Been Kidnapped Alarm", which caused Mario and Luigi to run down from the second floor and give chase.

"Stop right there!" Mario screamed.

"Don't make me use the plunger!" Luigi threatened. Ganondorf, obviously startled by their sudden appearance, leaped 2 feet into the air and ran off towards Toad Town.

"Get him!" the two Mario Bros. yelled out in unison. Running as fast as they could, the Mario Bros. almost caught up to Ganondorf, but had Link not fallen out of the sky and landed on them, the Dark King would not have made it out of the castle intact and with the Princess under his arm.
