Multiple Superstars?

I was playing Mario Party 9 yesterday at a friend's house. We did Bob-Omb Factory and at the end we both had the same number of mini-stars. I was like "WTF THERE CAN BE MULTIPLE SUPER STARS?!?!?!" I thought the 2 players would have to roll a dice block to determine who gets 1st... Apparently not in this game. XD (Well actually it was a 4 player game, might change if you do 2 players =P) So... has this ever happened to you?

Also this is a bit off-topic but I also learned that if all players are tied at the "almost there" point everyone gets a slow dice block.
And if 3 players are tied for last then the player in 1st chooses the mini-game after that point.

My friend and I were both Superstars in one match. I was surprised to see that they'd have it set up that way, but this is Nintendo we're talking about. =P

I guess they want everyone who gets first to have a feel of winning. Probably so you wouldn't feel left out. However, that has never happened to me. Everyone getting a Slow Block, however, did happen once.

I actually got that since the first time I played the game. Wario and Toad tied with 62 Mini Stars on our first try in Toad Road! Talk about a Tiebreaker!

I never got multiple superstars on Mario Party 9, but you learn me something that I didn't know, which was that the dice block that we usually use when it's a tie have diseapeared, unlike the others Mario Party that I think have this feature (I don't know if all of them have it through...) It's nice to know then.

Dude, that is weird. I guess they want to be fair or something. If it happened to me and my sis, i would be so mad.

Hmmm, I think it's nice to have things fair because with the dice block thing, the winner is mostly choose at random, so yeah. And that way, both of people can desere their win, so it's not that bad at all.

Yes, this has happened to me a bunch of times. Sometimes my mom would play with me, and at the end of the game, when the bonus stars were given, the two other players would lose and we would both be the Superstars. This happened to us so many times, it was insanity, but also kinda cool, because we both won.

This has happened to me before. I won along with my brothers though. It was quite odd because we are triplets and that we were standing left to right, oldest to youngest.

It happened to me 2 times in Mario Party 9. The first is DK's Jungle Ruins with Birdo and Toad winning the game. The second is now at Toad Road with me (Waluigi) and Daisy both taking 1st place and winning the game with a total of 128 Mini Stars each! I won with Daisy!

I think the 2 players should have a duel minigame
and then that would determine the winner.

I agree with the duel minigame idea.  That would be cool to watch (unless it's luck based.)  Imagine doing epically and winning than...you blow the duel minigame because you picked the wrong rope/pole/cake/object.
