Mario game you think are UNDERrated

How are Mario Kart Wii and NSMBWii underrated? NSMBWii is good but not underrated for sure and MKWii is overrated if anything.
I really hate to contradict you, but how are Sunshine and Double Dash "underrated"? Sunshine annoyed me, and in my opinion, got more praise than it should have. I guess maybe MKDD is on par.

Also, to me, NSMBW and MKW just weren't credited as much as people have done.

The reason they're called "underrated" is because they got less praise compared to the other games in their series, lower ratings, etc. Both also took the original formula and added some pizzazz to it, but of course, many people were flabbergasted by this new move and it was originally looked down upon. Nowadays, people are re-playing it and NOW are praising it. That's how I can tell that you're some little kid who absolutely LOVES the new games, and looks at the SNES as trash because its graphics and gameplay is a lot simpler than games now.

And the reason people seem to be criticizing NSMBW and MKW more is because they're comparing them to the older games, and since Nintendo is aiming its games more towards multiplayer and little kids, these now grown-up people don't seem to like them as much. Also, they're all about skill (watch a gameplay video of Super Mario Kart, and you'll see all the awesome drifting with no item interference), and in newer MK games the items come out of nowhere ALL THE TIME (I have MKW and also have to agree).

A low rating doesn't warrant an underrating.

I'm not a little kid. :( I don't think the old games are trash, or at least some of them. I'll admit that I had fun with both of them, but I at the same time wouldn't call them the best or "amazing".

I'd say they're more about frustration than skill. The AI are really unfair and they cheat like hell. :( MKW actually allows you to hone your skills and allows you to get better at them.

Well, let's break it down, shall we? Low means something similar to under, so take low rating, substitute with under, and you get underrating!

People are frustrated because the AI is cheap and they're unable to show off their skills.

Because a lot of people don't give Sunshine the same amount of praise at SM64 when it is almost on par with it and MK:DD gets lost in the talk about Mario Kart games when it was personally my favorite multiplayer Mario Kart.

Underrated simply means it's not getting the praise or recognition it deserves.

Sunshine and Double Dash are definitively underrated. Sunshine is completely shadowed by Super Mario 64 (for being a classic) and Super Mario galaxy (For being one of the greatest and prettiest games on the Wii). Double Dash isn't really mentioned much due to being very different compared to the other Mario Kart games. Both of these games never really got any GAME OF THE YEAR recognition like the other games in their series.

I particularly think Sunshine is great and no one pays attention to how great the setting is. It practically takes place in a vacation and every location is a festive sunny place with a lot of culture. A lot of people didn't like the nozzle gameplay but I fairly enjoyed it and the pure platforming sections were some of the best in the Mario series as well.

My thoughts exactly.

I don't think either of the two are underrated. Like I said before, they were good games, I don't think that they even stood a change against the Wii sequels-err followups I guess. The nozzle thing with Super Mario Sunshine was so agitating. :( and it honestly didn't really belong in a Mario game to me.

Well Super Mario Sunshine is sorry for taking the original Super Mario 64 formula and adding some pizzazz to it by giving you F.L.U.D.D.

Super Mario Sunshine is forgiven.

I'm just surprised all my GameCube controllers still work after all that rage.
Sunshine wasn't easy for me back in the day but it wasn't raging hard I enjoyed it. Probably because I like exploring open worlds like in Sunshine and 64 more than taking one way paths like what the newer games use.

And while I somewhat agree the nozzle was a weird addition to a Mario game, I liked it I think they implemented it good.
