It's hard to believe but they're finally not too cowardly to give us proper Mario RPG games again, haha! It works great for me as I've never played SMRPG or TTYD so now I get to experience both for the first time.

I'm a big fan of character-specific skills, so I highly enjoyed it. If only they were a bit more balanced, some definitely feel better than others. Personally, Magic Orb and Egg Orb are my top-ranked.
