21. Beneath the Rolling Vegetables

Go to the BLANK Checkpoint where the island in the middle of the magma sea is at, then enter the warp pipe. In the 2D section, dash at the right moment to run under the Hammer Bros and the devious hammers. If you want to get the Purple Coins, kill the Hammer Bros by hitting the block they’re standing on. Enter the next pipe and ride the girder while avoid the Lava Bubbles. The Power Moon is at the end!

22. All the Cracks Are Fixed

On the island at the BLANK Checkpoint, smash all the cracks and bumps on the ground to get a Power Moon. You are, of course, avoiding giant vegetables as they spring out of the hole at the top. They are easy to avoid, but they are aimed in your direction.

23. Taking Notes: Swimming in Magma

Hop into the big and open magma sea and look for the music note near the BLANK Checkpoint. Follow the simple line of notes to the island. Make sure to jump at the end to get the last few!

24. Love Above the Lava

In the starting area, capture the Goombas and create a Goomba Tower of four. Hop onto the yellow piece of corn and start rolling to the left. Run in the opposite direction to keep yourself from falling into the lava. Meet Goombette eye to eye to get the Power Moon!

25. Shopping in Mount Volbono

Enter the Crazy Cap shop in town and purchase this Power Moon for 100 coins. That’s it!

26. Luncheon Kingdom Slots

Once you reach the town area, look beyond all the fruits and vegetables to find a lone house with Sand Kingdom decorations on the front. Head inside. Cough up 10 coins at the desk and walk over to the five slots. The goal is to match the five slots with the same item. Get it right and get the item. Instead of trying to get each one individually with Cappy, stand to the left of the slots and wait for three Power Moons to appear. Throw Cappy once all are out. With two left, walk stand before the second to the right slot and aim for the last two. Once all five Power Moons are up, the real prize will appear!

27. A Strong Simmer

Purchase the Chef Hat for 5 Purple Coins and the Chef Outfit for 10 from the Crazy Cap shop. Enter the building to the left of the shop. Capture a Lava Bubble and hop into the pot of stew. Jump and grab the Power Moon that appears. The rest of the level is for getting Power Moon 28!

28. An Extreme Simmer

So you thought getting Power Moon 27 was easy? Well, you were right. Now the real challenge begins. Capture the Lava Bubble and swim across the hallway of lava. Reach the other end and jump and hop onto the Magmato. This will cause it to disperse giving you a spot to stay on dry land. Keep jumping into the Magmatos until you reach the small pool of lava. Jump up the small lavafall and swim up and out of the lava and into the pot. Make sure you get the that extra push by backing up!

29. Alcove Behind the Pillars of Magma

In the Volcano Cave, go up the slope and drop down to the pillars of lava. Look behind you to see an alcove in the big wall you just dropped from. Use the pillars to get inside!

30. Treasure Beneath the Cheese Rocks

This one can be tough! After you get Power Moon 3, a block of cheese rocks will appear in front of the Odyssey but not a single Hammer Bro in sight. Go back to the Path to the Meat Plateau Checkpoint and capture one there. Break the cheese rocks and go up the stairs. Look closely at the blue mountain in front of you to see steps that will let you get into the town. From there, start making your way back to the start where you can break through the cheese rocks!

31. Light the Two Flames

After you get the first Multi Moon, go to the area just before where you fought the Broodal. Capture a Fire Bro and hop over the grates on the right to get to two lanterns. Light ’em up!

32. Light the Far-Off Lanterns

Go through the exit of the Volcano Cave to find yourself in the north side of the kingdom. The first thing you’ll see is a Fire Piranha Plant. Don’t kill it! Find a nearby rock and throw it at the enemy. The baddie will eat it up, allowing you to capture it with Cappy. Once you’re in control, spit fire at the two unlit lanterns near the Volcano Cave exit to get the Power Moon!

33. Bon Appetite, Captain Toad!

Captain Toad is hanging out on a small island in the north section of the magma sea. Warp to the Top of the Peak Climb Checkpoint and grab a Lava Bubble. Jump over the edge and land way down below in the magma sea. Swim over to the small island where Captain Toad is hanging out at and speak to him for your prize.

34. The Treasure Chest in the Veggies

On the east side of the Path to the Meat Plateau is a big wall. Walk around the corner of it to find a simple door. Enter inside to find a treasure chest with a Power Moon!

35. Caught Hopping at the Volcano!

Available after completing the main missions in the Luncheon Kingdom. Go to the steps leading into town to find that a rabbit has taken residence. As it hops around the area, wait for it from above and drop down onto it to grab it!

36. Taking Notes: Big Pot Swim

Available after completing the main missions in the Luncheon Kingdom. Return to the area where you fought Cookatiel and grab the music note. A pretty straightforward challenge. Follow the notes and jump when needed. Do all three rounds to get the Power Moon.

37. Magma Swamp: Floating and Sinking

After you defeat Spewart the Broodal, lover over the edge near the grate bridge to find a secret door. Head inside for a secret level.

Right from the start you can grab Power Moon 38. Collect five moon shards to get the Power Moon. Finding them won’t be the issue, getting to them may be a different story. The platforms in front of you will alternate sinking into the lava, but all of the tops will stay above the surface. This one is all about staying on the tops when needed. As you collect the shards, keep in mind that you can still long jump from top to top. There is one shard that’s hidden within a Fire Piranha Plant. When it spits fire, throw Cappy to hit the fireball back at the enemy.

38. Corner of the Magma Swamp

As soon as you enter the secret level for Power Moon 37, look around the corner of the starting area to find three sinking platforms. Jump along the tops to reach the Power Moon!

39. Magma Narrow Path

Get to the Path to the Meat Plateau Checkpoint and get to the area where the path starts to go up. Turn the corner to find a secret door with a hidden level inside.

Surprise, this one is all about the Lava Bubble. Capture one at the start and start jumping up the lava platforms. When you reach the moving platform, wait until it reaches the left side before jumping. The area with two Magmatos leads to Power Moon 40. The next section is easy to get through if you’re patient. Use the camera to focus behind you, then move forward. You can even jump across the narrow paths but is is risky. Power Moon is at the end!

40. Crossing to the Magma

When you get to the two Magmatos, hit them with Cappy in a way that will let you take the nearby Lava Bubble and cross over using their lava remains. Gross. Climb up the little tower to get to the Power Moon at the top.
