Part 1: Under Siege!​

It was a bright sunny day in the Mushroom Kingdom. Everything seemed normal until nighttime, when everyone was asleep. Suddenly, the sky turned an ominous purple, and after several hours, went back to normal. Realizing this, Bowser decided to not kidnap Princess Peach. The next day seemed to be normal when suddenly, eight Toads appeared out of nowhere! Being commanded by some "being of the Void," they attacked the Mushroom Kingdom! Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi tried to stop the Toads, but were quickly defeated. The Toads then set out to attack other areas of the Mushroom Universe! Princess Peach was kidnapped by a Void and nobody can do anything about it! Or can they?

Toadette was strolling around the Mushroom Kingdom, when she noticed the castle, damaged. She entered it and found a hammer and a note. The note read:

"I am the master of dimensions, the being of the Void. Your friends are under my power now! I will use them to conquer the universe! I have given them great powers to help them. One can fire concrete blasts and create tremors, one can summon powerful jewels, one can summon monstrous hornets, one has the power of electricity, one can fire lasers and summon rampaging fish, one has the power of fire, one can create miniature voids, and one can summon tornadoes. What magnificent powers indeed! Anyone up to defeat my minions will unlock the path to my realm, where your princess is held. Until then, ciao!"

Toadette grabbed the hammer and moved out. She then went to Merlon.

Toadette: This is awful! Why would my friends do something like this?

Merlon: He's our main concern with evil thoughts. Your friends are under his control. I've checked their skills, and I believe you're better off stopping...

Part 2: The Battle of the Buddies​

Merlon: Toad. His powers aren't really threatening as far as I'm concerned. He's attacking Bowser's Castle! You must go!

Toadette traveled to Bowser's Castle, defeating the unknown villain's minions along the way. She then spotted the Bros lying on the ground.

Toadette: What happened!

Hammer Bro: That... kid... defeated... our... entire... army... You must avenge us... He is at the throne... Lord Bowser is missing...

Toadette: Bowser?

Boomerang Bro: Take our weapons... Stop that rat...

Toadette infiltrated the castle. After a long exploration, she found Toad.

Toad: So you arrived.

Toadette: Toad? How could you do this? We're buddies!

Toad: You're so naive, Toadette. I defeated the Koopa Troop by myself! And now I'll defeat you! It's time you showed me what you can do!

Toadette decided to use the Fire Bro's weapon, the fireball.

Toad: Ha! Two can play one game!

Toad fired fireballs of his own. Toadette barely dodged the attack. She then decided to power up her hammer by making it fiery through a fireball, and then struck Toad with accuracy. Toad was defeated, and the shadow signaling control by the mysterious villain faded from him. A light came toward Toadette, giving her the ability to fire three fireballs at once and charge them up for power. Toadette got the Magma Bazooka! Toadette found one of the eight Pure Hearts needed to access the mysterious villain's lair on Bowser's throne. She used some of its power and teleported to Merlon.

Toadette: Somehow after I defeated Toad I gained a new ability and became much stronger. Who should I take on next?

Merlon: Well, since Toad had fire as his weapon, one that would be weak to fire would be...

Merlon: Emile. It looks like fire should be able to dispose of him. He's attacking Flower Fields! You must go!

Toadette entered the door to Flower Fields, defeating more of the mysterious villain's minions. She then spotted a group of Crazee Dayzees hiding.

Toadette: Are you OK?

Crazee Dayzee: It's terrible! A green figure in the clouds is making tornadoes! Soon this entire field would be destroyed!

Toadette: Leave the field cleaning to me.

Toadette ascended up the beanstalk to the arena where Huff. N Puff fought Mario. Emile brought the tornadoes up in Toadette's sight.

Emile: So I've heard you defeated Toad.

Toadette: Emile, please stop! You're turning this meadow into a wasteland!

Emile: Do you intend to stop my master of the Void? You'll have to break through me first!

Emile launched the tornadoes at Toadette, who barely dodged.

Toadette charged up the Magma Bazooka and fired at Emile, who returned with tornadoes. After a hard battle, Toadette defeated Emile and the tornadoes settled. The shadow on Emile faded. A light came toward Toadette and gave her the ability to summon tornadoes to attack foes. Toadette got the Tornado Blow and found the second Pure Heart on the arena. She teleported back to Merlon using some of its power.

Merlon: Welcome back, Toadette.

Toadette: These Pure Hearts... They seem to be linked to the one behind this...

The Mushroom Kingdom shook.

Merlon: The villain is getting closer to achieving his goal... Our time is growing short! That power you obtained from Emile, the tornadoes, and your other powers means you're getting stronger. The next opponent you seek is...

Merlon: Yvan. He appears to be your main concern right now. He's attacking Crystal Palace! Stop him!

Toadette entered Shiver City on her way to Crystal Palace. She recieved some advice from the local Bumpties. Remembering Mario's journey to the Crystal Palace, she avoided the traps set out for intruders, defeating more enemies. She spotted some Duplighosts and White Clubbas, defeated by Yvan.

Duplighost: Don't... attack... when... the blue figure... surrounds himself with jewels...

Toadette listened to the Duplighost's advice as she entered Crystal King's lair and confronted Yvan.

Yvan: I've lost two of my friends. The Void will increase my power to stop you!

Toadette: What, Yvan too? Even such a loyal Toad like you got affected by this conspiracy?

Yvan: Prepare to taste defeat, Toadette!

Yvan summoned jewels and fired them at Toadette, who barely dodged.

Toadette launched tornadoes at Yvan, which blew away his jewels and instantly knocked him out. The shadow on Yvan faded. A light came toward Toadette and gave her the ability to summon jewels to attack foes and block shots. Toadette got the Jewel Satellite and the third Pure Heart. Using some of the Pure Heart's power, she teleported back to Merlon.

The Mushroom Kingdom shook again.

Merlon: I have been waiting for you! Time is running shorter! The Void is growing!

Toadette: Who will I look for next?

Merlon: Those jewels you recieved from Yvan along with your other supplies mean that your next target is...

Merlon: Wolley. He seems to be your main concern. The gulch are in danger right now!

Before Toadette left, a light appeared and surrounded her. The weapons she acquired from the defeated Toads increased in power. The jewels were now fused to create a spear, dust was added to the tornadoes, and the bazooka now fired ice and electricity.

She crawled into Forever Forest. Remembering Mario's pathway through the forest, she passed through the Piranha Plants and Fuzzies unnoticed. She then found a note from someone named "Tubba Blubba."

Ack! It's helpless! Some yellow kid is ruining my sleep hours with those annoying bees of his! The Sentinels and Clubbas can't do anything about it!

After spending some time acquiring information from the Boos, she headed off to Tubba's Castle. Noticing a club on the floor, she decided to keep it on her journey. After navigating through the traps of the castle, and sneaking past some Clubbas, she confronted Wolley himself.

Wolley: Well if it isn't Toadette! Looking nice as always...until I wipe that charm off your face!

Toadette: Wolley? What's gotten into you? We acted crazy together in the past, but now you've gone too far!

Wolley: Listen to you... Acting all high and mighty. I'd rather settle things in battle than listen to your blabbing nonsense. Bzaaps, attack!

A swarm of Bzaaps rushed towards Toadette, stingers armed.

Toadette spun the club like a Squall Hammer right past the Bzaaps and right into Wolley, knocking him out and restoring him to his normal state. Toadette acquired the Pure Heart and the Bzaap Call and headed back to Merlon.

The Muhroom Kingdom shook. Merlon then examined the Bzaap Call and determined that Toadette's next opponent would be...

After some discussions, Merlon set Toadette out to Shy Guy's Toybox, where Rango was bombarding General Guy's forces. She picked up a slingshot, stilts, and Groove Dress. Passing through some defeated Shy Guys, she entered Rango's lair.

Rango: Well done... but you say good bye here. I might even tell you more about me after I win...

Toadette: No chance! Snap out of it this instant!

Rango: Why you-!

Rango began charging up electricity.
