The N64 Mario Party Games are too much overrated.

Do you think N64 Games are Overrated?

To clear up what you two fighters are saying, is...

@Aegis
Your first post is totally true, I have played many many video games since I was born in 2000, my favourites was the Spyro series and the Crash series. Owning 'Year of the Dragon', Spyro 2, CTR and 'Crash Bash' (with CTR being my favourite game of all time) when I got my PS2 I got 'Enter the Dragonfly' for Spyro and 'Crash, Wrath of Cortex' I was extremely unhappy at the bad results I got.
Now to deal with your second post.
I have played Grand Theft Auto 3 the most and that seems like a very good game. I have a 'friend' that has all the GTA's and he loves each single one. Some of the other games are past my time or I don't like the style of play in them. FF is RPG right? The only RPG I play is Pokemon on me' ol' Gameboy Colour.

@Wiiboy
I have seen alot of your posts and your one of those people that I don't like. I am sorry but the critics are almost always right and so are the fans. We don't need to prove it.

What don't you like about me? The fact that I like most newer Mario games compared to most old ones?

And what are you talking about? Pretty much everything in this thread is opinionated.

Your problem is that you argue things with stupid reasoning. If you just give me an answer other than nostalgia then fine.

And I'd like to hear something from him, thank you.

And um.... I don't see what you're saying. I explained what I didn't like/didn't like/etc about the first ones and the GCN ones.

No, honestly. I want to hear exactly why they are so bad other than "People like the games, so I hate it". Everyone has their own tastes and opinions, but hating something just cuz people like that game is pretty silly.

Umm all we say is we like N64 better. We have NOT downgraded the others. We played them as children and the memory's stuck the best...(this topic was not needed and every responding to it saying your wrong knows that) sorry but that's the truth  :p
No, I'm certain that the N64 ones were better. I recently played MP2 in a map I only went on once, and I'm having much more fun than the GameCube (and Wii) games by myself.

Also - my favorite is MP3, and I'm saying I enjoyed MP2 more than all of the other ones.

When did i say they weren't? All i said is we  do not downgrade the others. I completely agree they were better. the makers had the freshest ideas!!

When you look at the N64 installments, you can clearly see it's more challenging and balanced with the minigames and maps. Like with the recent Mario Kart games, Nintendo along the lines just fucks it up by catering to more younger and casual audiences ergo they make the maps more basic and linear and the minigames easier to cheat or to gain unfair advantage. I'm telling you, it's because of those decisions that make the newer games shit.

Considering that most of the newer games like to throw luck in as the main concept (for MP at least) it's annoying and honestly uncreative, and the older ones had luck but it definitely wasn't as high as to make you lose completely from a slight luck factor...looking at you MP9.

Only MP 7 & 9 had too much luck. The N64 ones had more if it(1&3)

They ARE good but...they are overrated.  Let's face it.  Nostalgia has struck again.
Explain how they are overrated.

Mario Party 1, I will definitely agree with you on that. Mario Party 3, there's no denying there was more luck, but they balanced it out with Items and certain spaces being more fair, plus the Mini-Games were a lot more fun/easy.

Well I was definitely talking about 9's ridiculous amount of luck, as I was meaning, mini-games being luck based, whatever, but boards having luck making you lose half your score is just cheap.

And to everyone saying they are overrated, there are more reasons why people like them more than just NOSTALGIA! Give some other reasons why they would be considered overrated than just nostalgia, you're following the I don't like this because others like it rule and that is not a good enough reason.

Agreed. This is why I hate debating with fanboys because they provide idiotic and irrevelant reasons to hate on a product and then when you try to convince them with an otherwise valid reason they just see that as another reason to whine and bitch.
