Thank you Luigi Party and H-J

I had the worst night of my life here in Mario Party Legacy tonight. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

On 7:40 PM (12:40 AM PST) I was a target of a cyber-criminal here in Mario Party Legacy. Asking for a promotion on me to become a Website Team Member or Forum Administrator. After this was thwarted by 8-Bit on 9:35 PM (2:35 AM PST), I was going to argue with the Administrators here. To avoid this, I had to log out for a few minutes until my buddy, Luigi Party!, came online.

So, thank you to:
8-Bit (H-J): ...for thwarting the online scam (and Norton 360 installed also alerting me) and banning that troublesome member.
Luigi Party!: ...for cheering me up when I had those severe problems.

I'm going to log out now because of my stress about last night. I will come back tomorrow in a good mood sometime.

You're welcome.  :)
I have never seen a cyber criminal in this forum, until this. I really thought that Spectre was trying to fool you- since 1, You have only been in this forum for one month, and it is highly unlikely for new users to be a global moderator. 2, he wrote strange codes when I was in a shoutbox, and I doubt that was highly suspicious. He was even talking even you were offline at the shoutbox! I hope you can remove your stress tonight, and come back tomorrow with a better move. Good night.

I was very upset since I logged out. I was crying in my sleep, wondering if I would not get a real promotion.

I know, I was thinking that those codes were suspicious at the start, but H-J pulled me out of it. I had Norton 360 installed at the time, and that is helping me prevent dangerous downloads on my computer. After that scam was thwarted, I ran a full system scan for any threats. I later deleted the file that he provided me.

So, he was offering to give you a position on the website staff/admin spot on the forum, even though he's not even part of the staff. He told you to download some files in order to obtain a position and you were willing to download them and give it a try?

Here's some advice: NEVER let a non-staff member trick you into offering you a staff position. And second, if they say download stuff or put in codes, don't do it, it could possibly harm your computer. Lastly, the staff are the people that make the decisions for who'll be on staff, not regular members. Hacking yourself to be on staff would result in being banned.

I hope you are more careful on the forum. Just don't let people trick you into doing stuff like that. If anything like that happens again, report it to staff immediately and let them resolve it, don't make topics in your blog or in the other boards.

I have been very careful since the start. Members like these should be banned forever. Not three days.
