Sonic X

Sonic X is definitely something I haven't heard of for quite a while.  :-D In spite of its hate, I actually quite liked the anime. It really did portray the Sonic characters very nicely with their correct personalities, and to be honest I found the episodes to be quite amusing as well for most of the time (thanks to the characters). Though I have to agree that the human characters (especially Chris - replacing the role of Tails was a sad move on the developer's part) were rather unneeded and at times annoying when clashed with the Sonic characters. Still, the anime was rather good (if only we got a new Super Mario anime sometime soon).  :p

While I wasn't too fond of Chris, I didn't mind Cosmo. She wasn't too annoying and her sacrifice was rather saddening; however, I must say that I wasn't too fond of the plot of the third season of Sonic X (it was a bit too far off from the general Sonic games in my opinion).
 
They really butchered the Sonic Adventure games for which the anime is based on. Metarex? Chris Thorndick? Cosmos? Why all the new characters? The game's storylines were just fine without them. The anime could have been more badass and enjoyable without so much dumbass filler but apparently the developers were aiming for such a YOUNG group of kids. I still think Sonic SatAM is the best Sonic cartoon.
 
That's not the case with all American exported anime. Just the major anime that's based on a "young people" franchise.
