Hello everybody I’ve been writing down my ideas for multiples reimaginings of various Mario Parties to make in Roblox so my friends can see what Mario Party’s like without needing to deal with the hassle of netplay, emulation, or giving money to Nintendo, god forbid. I’m really happy with how I would redo the item system, but no one I know really has a clue what any of them mean, so I’m posting ‘em here!

Skeleton Key: 5 Coins
- Enter a Gate once.
- Add the roll of another Dice Block to your total moves.
- Doubles grant 10 Coins, double 7s grant 30 Coins.
Cellular Shopper x 5 Coins
- Remotely order an item to be delivered on your next turn.
- Players can purchase any item, no matter the turn count or their position. This combined with the delayed acquisition (to prevent immediate theft) should help it be more than mediocre.
- Warp close to a chosen foe.
- You can be warped to the foe’s space, or one of the 5 spaces in front or 5 spaces behind the foe. There is always a 33% chance to warp to the foe’s exact space.
- OG Warp Block’s unreliability made it worth even less than 5 Coins in my eyes. Being able to choose who to warp to should make it more viable. Swapping is saved for the Warp Pipe, because that choice is much more powerful & should cost more.
- Ring the Lottery Shop and they’ll double the Coins you get in the next standard minigame.
- Game Guy rare item made into a standard item so Toad’s stocks matched Koopa Kid’s.
Golden Mushroom x 10 Coins
- Add the roll of 2 more Dice Blocks to your total moves.
- Triples grant 30 Coins, triple 7s grant 50 Coins.
- Gain 3 Coins for every space moved.
- Plus Dice Block from MP1 made viable.
- Double a Star being sold at the Star Area for the next 3 turns, including this one.
- Double Star Card, but no longer used automatically. The additional Star won’t leave after a purchase, only after the 3 turns are over.
Metal Mushroom x 10 Coins
- Deflect incoming attacks for the next 3 turns, including this one.
- Boo Repellant, but blocks items too. No longer automatic, so it can be stalled.
- Slow the Dice Block so you can time your roll.
- Bumped up the price & rarity to reign in its power. Also shouldn’t overshadow the Poison Mushroom as much.
- Swaps your place with a chosen player’s.
- See Warp Block for similar reasoning. A space swap without luck needs a high price for the sake of balance.
Rainbow Mushroom x 20 Coins
- Add the rolls of 4 more Dice Blocks to your total moves.
- Based off of the Dice Block Special token from amiibo party, mainly to give Toad a Legendary item beyond the Magic Lamp.
- Summon the Mushroom Genie, who’ll take you straight to the Star!
Common ️
Skeleton Key x 5 Coins
- Enter a Gate.
- Limit a player’s roll to 1.
- Only 1 Dice Block is restricted to 1. Any other Dice Blocks aren’t affected.
- Roll penalty increased to 1 for more potential to stall, slow movement, and roll precisely.
Coinado x 5 Coins
- Steal 3, 5, 7, or 12 Coins from a chosen foe.
- Filler item from SMP so both shopkeepers have the same amount of items at the same prices & rarities.
- Steal a random item from a chosen foe.
- Call Bowser to any player, as if they had landed on a Bowser Space.
Lightning x 10 Coins
- Subtract the roll of a Dice Block from a player’s total moves.
- If the total goes below 0, the player will move backwards.
- Reverse Mushroom, but now rarer, costlier, and less reliable.
- Destroy 3 Coins from a player for every space they move.
- Minus Dice Block from MP1 made viable.
- Initiate a Duel with a foe for your choice of Coins or Stars.
- You can now duel for Stars like in 5, but can also bet 1/2 Coins, so there’s a use for players with less Coins and no Stars.
Tragic Lamp x 10 Coins
- Summon the Mushroom Jeanie to move the Star Space to a previous location.
- Order of Star Spaces are fixed like in 6. Now more reliable to warrant a high rarity while while retaining its chaotic potential. The name change is to make its true function more obvious to newbies.
- Steal 3, 5, 7, or 12 Coins from all foes.
- Filler item.
- Swap your inventory with a random foe’s.
Bowser Suit x 20 Coins
- Disguise yourself as Bowser & steal half of the coins from whoever you pass.
- Passing Hammer Bro. (MP2 Koopa Kid replacement) will net you all the Coins he stole.
- Bowser Suit was as rare as a Boo Bell in games like 5, so it shouldn’t be too disruptive to make it as powerful. This way, there’s more than just one Legendary item for both vendors.
- Summon Kamek to steal Coins or a Star from a chosen foe.
- Boo’d be playable, so Kamek takes his role. Price was bumped up to 20 Coins to encourage Star steals over Coin steals.
Rare items. Can now be obtained by an item hidden block, Item Minigame, or Item Bag.
Wacky Watch- Lets you choose to set the game 5 turns forward or back.
- OG Wacky Watch sucked. Ending a game early isn’t much fun. This way it should be much less annoying.
- Lets you choose the next 3 minigames you play.
- Unused item from 2, buffed to warrant unusual status.
- Summon Bowser at the end of the current turn, who’ll attack whoever he passes!
- Breakout (1st Quarter): 10 Coins or back to Start
- Early Game (2nd Quarter): 20 Coins or all items
- Late Game (3rd Quarter): 30 Coins or 1/2 Coins
- Homestretch (4th Quarter, Final 5 Turns): 50 Coins or 1 Star
- Now can be used whenever and its strength depends on the game state. Ideally it’d be a lot less annoying.
- Uses all in inventory at once, the number used determining the effect
- 1: Item Shuffle
- 2: Coin Redistribution
- 3: Star Cycle
- Miracle Capsule, but with game-changing effects that are much more interesting than giving all 1st’s Stars to 4th. Kind of a filler item to get 4 rare items like in MP3.
