More Info

Mighty No. 9 is a game that will release this September for Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
It's being developed by Comcept, who are made of ex-Capcom employees, and headed by Keiji Inafune, the creator of Mega Man. The retail version is being published by Deep Silver. Former Mega Man developers Inti Creates are assisting with the home console versions, while Abstraction Games are assisting with the handheld versions.

Comcept has revealed why the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita versions have been delayed.

"Right, so the 3DS version, as well as the PlayStation Vita version, is being handled by a different company called Engine Software, a developer based in the Netherlands. They're handling the porting work. Well, it's not really porting work anymore. We actually had to rebuild the game from scratch because of the difference between the console versions and the handheld versions. It'll be exactly the same. Naturally, there might be little bit of a graphical downgrade just because it's on a handheld, but the gameplay and everything else is intact."

Makes sense.

Mighty No. 9 has been delayed to Q1 2016.

Comcept said:
"As we have communicated in the updates to our backers, all of the core content for the game is developed and in a complete state.. However, there are still bugs and issues pertaining to the online features that are included in the game. These bugs and issues have a direct affect on enjoyment of the game, so a decision was made to work these issues out before release."

"Currently, Comcept and their partners are working at full capacity to resolve these issues
and fix any remaining bugs."

Inafune is just not putting it all together.
It doesn't look good for Mega Man or Mighty No. 9 fans at the moment.

Which means you should edit the first post of the topic.

It's a shame that it's delayed, but holy cow, Inafune. A lot of people are saying Inafune is being very different than he used to nowadays.

Game is coming out in just two weeks, on Tuesday, June 21, 2016.

With the recent trailer being trashed by many, this isn't going to end well. Inafune likely failed to deliver to promised fans.
That is just plain sad. Saw the trailer and lordy. I'm hoping for fans it's just a bad impression and the game actually ends up being at least decent.
