My team from HG isn't really that strong when I play my black version. I also felt the same way when I got my Sapphire pokemon onto Diamond. Is this a coincidence?
Is it just me or do the previous generation Pokemon get weaker?

The new Pokemon grow stronger. The older stay the same.
I haven't really noticed. I only thought Pokemon that gain a evolution get weaker, but haven't noticed otherwise.
Some pokemon can't keep up with the new things introduced in a new generation, while some have simply managed to keep up with the new threats so far.(Starmie and Gengar come to mind)
