Well since I love my state I will be posting pics of this beautiful land and places I refer incase you happen to be in town since Illinois is know for having great cities.
Here are pics of various windmills in Illinois.
Thes pics are of a small town that everyone in the whole world shoud visit called Galena. It is the best small town in the world in my opinion. It's downtown is one main street which has every family owned business, Inns, Cafes, and historical sites. The geography is simply amazing. There is a river that runs along the city called The Galena River which is very senic. The town lies on a very hilly area which makes it the perfect place to go siteseeing. When you enter the downtown area, you will be greeted by two gigantic floodgates and Galena's welcoming sign. A few miles from Galena is the famous Chestnut Mountain which is the perfect place for snowboarding, water skiing, and sliding. To me Galena is the ideal place of a perfect and heavenly town. It is pleasant and peaceful. President Ulysses Grant lived in Galena and his house is still standing and preserved till this day. A Clock TOwer is in the center of town which make Galena even more perfect.
The best time to visit Galena is every season. Fall for the foilage, Winter for the seasonal shops and beautiful decorations and backdrop, Spring for the nature, and Summer for it's various festivities and nature. Trollies are the best way to see the whole town and get a tour of it's historical aspects. I like to call this town The Little City from Heaven. Many hot air balloons are sucessfully launched here.
Now that's what I call a real town!
