Mine's probably a tie between Winky and Squawks. I also like Rambi because he's useful for kicking the crap out of ground-bound enemies. =P

I like Rattly for jumping action and Enguarde for charging through levels.
Don't deny it.
Enguarde for getting me out of the water levels faster.
Rambi was my favorite. I loved flying through kicking everybody out of my way. ;D The spider, can't remember his name, was cool as well. They better put the buddies in DKCR...

Rambi is definately my favourite. He's fun.
Out of the ones I remember, Rambi to trample anything ground-based, and Squawks for flight. I didn't like his seed attack, though >_>

Corrects old post: Enguarge is actually damn helpful given right button timing. Squawks is too slow now u_u
You don't really need any button timing He auto-hits enemies like Rambi. You can come at them at all crazy angles as long as it's not directly above or below (or behind but you could just tap the right direct towards the enemy) to get hit.

My favorite one was the snakes from DK county 2 (forgot his name.) he can jump high and when you hold B, he jumps higher and look for when he bounces up and down. :-D The frog comes in second because he jump high to and can not be hit while in the air.
