Can I make a suggestion

Can we add like a pause and play button on people's profiles so that we can stop/start to play their music whenever we want? Sometimes I just want to read people's profiles and then suddenly this loud music starts playing(my computer's volume isn't even that high). And on top of that, I think I'd like an option to just ignore people's profile music's all together. Viewing profiles would become much more bearable, at least for me.

He brought up a legitimate suggestion, and he didn't state it didn't apply to him anywhere, so why assume? Why comment on someone's blog post if you're just going to bully? Bullying is not acceptable on this forum - you know better.

It's really no trouble at all. Just turning your computer volume off (or mute) is really all you need to do if profile music gives you a headache. But apparently some don't have the patience to reach out and set it off or on for themselves.

There's a thing called listening to your own music from your computer. Whether it's youtube or something like Itunes. I doubt people will mute their computers because of profiles.

The better solution is either make it so you can pause music in profiles or just don't visit profiles unless really necessary, which is what I do.

i listen to my own music, it's not that I don't have patience. I don't want to mess with some hidden/embedded music that I can't mute while I'm listening to my own. People shouldn't be allowed to embed videos in their profiles.

Impa and Vip, how thick can you possibly be? Do you really think that muting my entire computer is the best option? Did you not consider that I might be doing something else, like watching a YouTube video, playing a game, or even listening to my own music? According to other people in this topic, they listen to their own music too, so its not uncommon.

How about we add an option in account settings to ignore the music in profiles? Or we could do it the way I suggested in the original post. I'd also be fine with just doing away with it all.

Well geez, if it's THAT much of a problem to just pause your music/video/whatever for 10 minutes...

I mean, I'm fine that you made a suggestion and I would actually agree that a pause button could be more convinient for most of us, but no need to be so upset, I just made a suggestion myself. (BTW It's Robin, not Impa lol)

What makes this hypocritical though, is you have music on your OWN profile, too. Which, I'm sure others who find profile music annoying, will say so.

Though, I can definitely see why others find it annoying, especially when you're watching/listening to something else. I'll talk with the other staff members, and we'll see if there's a way to pause it. If not, if it's okay with everyone, we can just remove them all together. I have profile music as well, but mine is not loud at the start.
