Favourite Generation?
« on: March 01, 2011 »
What was your favourite generation of Pokemon, and why?

Personally, I preferred Gen II, I just felt like they actually had good scenes in the game, and it felt like a game should feel like. Gen IV would be a close second, Gen III comes third due to Emerald, and Gen I and V tie.

Generation I, probably. It had all the basics, and there was a lot of fun in there. Especially Yellow Version, where you start out with Pikachu and later, you can get all the Kanto Starters.

Next would be Generation II, then IV, then V. Generation III, I have never played.

And just recently, I got all the Pokemon that you can get via Dongle, bar Gengar.

Why? What was interesting about Generation III? I just never had the chance to buy Ruby, Sapphire, and/or Emerald back in my day. I did have the Pokemon Pinball of Generation III for Game Boy Advance, however.

Since I'm only greatly exposed to Gs I and II (a little of III as well), I found I nostalgic enough to take the cake for me.

Marth is not amused.

Gen IV, because it's the only Pokemon game I ever played.

I like generation 2. They had really good designs for the pre-evolutions, Eeveelutions, and legendaries. The 2nd gen games kept me playing for a long time.

The first one and the last one, but the first one is a bit better. Those 151 pokemon from the 1st gen are those that I grew with.

First one and the second one. I've played both so much as a kid, it's truly a work of art. Generation 3 was very good as well, but I haven't played it in a loooooooong time and I don't own it anymore, but it was seriously a great game.

I want to say V for innovation but I haven't played it yet. IV Generation then followed by II.

A sad thing in life is that sometimes you meet someone who means a lot to you only to find out in the end that it was never bound to be and you just have to let go.

V is looking pretty great, but that I've played, II is the best.
