Stop 'N' Swop
« on: May 02, 2010, 09:01:43 AM »
The original Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie were suppose to have this feature of using eggs and the ice key to unlock special areas on the games. I wish they would have fully implemented it. What would it have been like and would it have made this game even better?

Discuss.

It would've been cool for Banjo Tooie if it worked.

Yeah, but it didn't, sadly. It would only damage the cartridge and/or the console.

They did not serve any purpose, they only counted as extra collectibles in this game.

I'm not sure, but for Banjo-Tooie, yes, they were supposed to give you Homing Eggs (Blue Egg), Breegull Bash (Pink Egg) and the Mega Glowbo for Dragon Kazooie (Ice Key).

So you have to put those in to make them appear after you get all the jiggies?

In N64, yes. But you do not need to get all the jiggies, you only need to have the Sandcastle floor accessable. But to collect them, you still need at least 69 jiggies. (69 jiggies are required to open Click Clock Wood.)

Does anyone want to explain what Stop N Swap 2 is all about? I haven't played BK Nuts and Bolts and I dont know why they would include it since they have been trying to get rid of it ever since they first made it in the first game.

I don't have the BK's on XBLA, but you have a gold, bronze, and another egg and they have no use in the game. I wish Rare would start using what they leave out, hopefully E3 will fix that.

Well, Stop 'N' Swop 2 has just 7 unlockables that serve absolutely no purpose unless they have something to do with the next Banjo-Kazooie game that none of us know about.

I think it gives you more pointless vehicle parts in B & K nuts and bolts, I heard that somewhere.

In the N64 version, they're just pointless collectibles. In the XBLA versions, they do give you pointless vehicle parts.

Oh I remember this.
It would've been cool and I'm sad it never existed. :(
Although I think the main reason was because of the new models of N64.
