I wish they would also put the original Mario Party as well. Still, I'm happy that they've at least remembered that Mario Party exists. BTW, that helps me from having to hook up the system every time I want to play on it.  :P

Guys, go to Mariowiki and look left with "Mario/Nintendo News". Mario Party 2 has just been released in Japan on the Virtual Console.

Wow, Japan gets it before Europe. It still makes sense why the second Mario Party is being released before the 1st.

I hope North America gets it (and Australia), but we have no word of those yet.

Get in the festive spirit

Europe is set to receive Mario Party 2 on Christmas Eve but North American Wii owners can sneak in there just a little quicker, as the game is released in the Wii Shop Channel on Monday December 20th.

The official Nintendo America Twitter spread the good news today, making the decision of whether to grab a new Wii Points card this weekend just a little easier.

Will you be hosting your own Mario Party on Monday?

North America gets to sneak in before Europe gets it. Monday, December 20, 2010 is the release date for the VC.

I'm gonna get this on VC. Even though I own the N64 version, it's much easier, to me, to use the classic controller to play than using that crappy N64 joystick that's so worn out.

I wanna get Wii Points now. By the way, is it classic control only or can you play with the gamecube controller?

Nice to know North America is getting Mario Party 2. And it's about time we heard news of it. But like I've stated many times before, I won't be getting Mario Party 2 for Virtual Console.

I got this and played a round. I did the cowboy level, with enemies on easy but if I didn't add on Bonus stars at the end, I would've lost :P

This is a very decent game because I like the older mini-games best.

I did get it on VC and I love it. It's nice being able to use the classic controller to play instead of that N64 one. I should try using GC controllers on VC, since I've never even used it for that purpose. =P

Ok, good. I was just wondering since I have a turbo controller and I'll probably need to use it to beat Handcar Havoc. Otherwise, I'd be stuck on the mini-game coaster forever.(I've only tried Mario Party 2 like once a long time ago, but I have seen videos)

Uh you don't really need it for Handcar Havoc as much as you'll probably need it for Mecha Marathon.
