It may be soon, but it's actually on time. Guess we'll have 500+ Pokemon now. I wonder what different features there will be this time around.

Remember when there was a time when Pokemon didn't suck?

Me neither.

I estimate there will be 605 pokemon in total when the 5th generation is released, and I already thought of a pokemon that should go into slot 605!

Arceoxes: The invincible pokemon

Base HP: 1
Base Attack: 1
Base Defense: 1
Base Sp. Atk: 300
Base Sp. Def: 1
Base Speed: 300

This Pokemon only knows 2 moves. Judgement and PP Recover.
The only way you can beat it is by using any move that strikes first. Ex: Quick Attack

I believe triple types should be introduced in this generation. Below is a video I made about Triple Types before 8-30-2009.

And I believe some pokemon should have more than one special ability.
For Example: Clefairy should have the Cute Charm and the Magic Guard ability together.

Anyways VIP. There should be a child board about Pokemon: The Fifth Generation.
Disturbance Meter: 10
Try not to turn it up to 10. I will feel really bad for myself.

Aaaaand, an example of unoriginal and crappy Pokemon.

Also, why should this get a Child Board? It's not that big of a game. :/

No, no child board. This is a Mario Party Forum, not a Pokemon forum. :P

I myself would prefer a remake of Ruby/Saphirre than a new gen. But I know that it's not going to happen, because everything has gone through this pattern:
New Gen: R/S/E
Remakes: FR/LG
New Gen: D/P/Pt
Remakes:HG/SS
New Gen:(5th gen)
Remakes: R/S(probably not on the DS, but on the new handheld)

My guess is there will be about 610-640 pokemons on the new National Dex.
I'll be waiting for Gen V to come, I wonder if it's going to be released on DSi or another new Nintendo handheld.

And madstarr is right, everytime a new Pokemon generation is made, they'll make a remake of the generation - 2 (How should I say it?)
So maybe a remake of R/S will be made too.

I wonder what Gem will be used for this one? Aquamarine or something. I'll be looking forward to what pokemon they will hold.

While I'm probably going to dump the username I don't want to get rid of the banner though...

People shouldn't hate that another one's coming.  Unless people hated Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, I see no declining pattern.  It's most likely they're going to add another 150 pokemon to stay original, at least.

It's also unlikely they'll be using odd names.

They never had colors like purple or orange.

If they continue with gems, I'm sure they'll use something common, if there's anything left.

Hey, who knows?  It might even be the end of th gem era.  =P

This can be a new generation or just another spin off. :P

You actually have a point.  I see a spinoff more likely to happen.  =P

Word broke of another new Pokémon game today, due in Japan later this year. Since this one is confirmed to a new game (not a remake), it appears that the fifth generation will soon be beginning earnest. Feverish speculation has already begun on all the major forums and websites, with wishes ranging from "I want a Mawile evolution!" to "Please let them do something different with the story for a change."

It's all speculations and assumptions.  =P

I myself don't hate the concept of a new gen, I just wouldn't imagine what type of weird pokemon they would come up with this time.

Which is what The Wosser doesn't realize since he puts so many direct references to Pokemon.

Anyway, a 5th generation Pokemon game would be a terrible mistake.
