Ha, I think that's pretty funny

Is model hacking an N64 game even possible?

I don't think so, since I don't know of any existing editors. And I think it would be very hard or just pretty much impossible to do manually.

Also, I looked into Mario Party 3, and the text seems to be encrypted. Oh well, I guess I'll leave that game alone for now.

Hey, try changing a minigame description. I'd like to see that.

I might've not edited the minigame explanation correctly, but when I tried editing Platform Peril's minigame explanation and launched the edited rom in my N64 emulator, it gave a very high pitched loud noise with this error:

I'll try to figure this out.

Edit: It was because I used a Mario Party 2 save file that was formatted for a different Mario Party 2 rom... I feel stupid now...

After 30 minutes of Mario Party pain, I finally got Platform Peril, and the game crashed...

Edit: If anyone else wants to give it a shot, Platform Peril's minigame description is in 0114A810 to 0144A870(At least on the rom I have).

If I put just A's in the words that I don't need/aren't exactly what I need then the sentence won't make much sense in game. I'll try and figure this exact thing out.

--PRETTY MAJOR EDIT--

I figured it out.

lol.

I know it says for NSMBW, but this works perfectly on Mario Party 9 as well. I've replaced one of Toad's sounds with Baby Luigi's with no further problems whatsoever. The downside is that the filesize needs to be exact or lower size of the original voice.

All I do is texture hack for them, but I would trying to make some NPC playables even Bowser Jr, Boo, and other who is in MP9. So, I made images of those three characters. Oh yeah, Baby Luigi did great job with Baby Luigi, but the lighting issues on Baby Luigi.. is sometime weird XD

Sadly idk how to capture some gameplay screens because idk how to use hacks in Dolphin, so I used the hack via vWii's Riivolution. XD

Mario Party 9- Peach & Daisy Texture Hack! Introducing... Princess Kira! Princess Rose! and...! Model Change, Baby Luigi!

I replaced Peach's animations 1-4 place anime and win (after board / boss battle.) into Daisy's animation. Same for Daisy from Peach animation. Baby Luigi's animation is same as Toad's.

Heh, my model looks good

I really don't know how to fix Baby Luigi's lighting tho. I've copied all of Toad's material parameters and the lighting just ends up as a line down his face, so this lighting and shader I used instead is not perfect, but a better result.

In-game there's somehow white and dark blue, but you actually can see through his body :D

What shaders did you use, were they from Mario Party 9, or Super Sluggers?
