Oh wow, that's pretty good.

Steel Diver was $2.99 at Best Buy a few days ago. Still didn't buy it. :P I also bought Ni no Kuni a week ago when it $20 new.

A couple Resident Evil Related Deals on 3DS and WiiU eShop until 10/31:

WiiU:
Resident Evil: Revelations HD - $20

3DS:
Resident Evil: Revelations - $10
Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D - $10

I already own (both) versions of Revelations, but I'm totally downloading Mercs 3D at that price.

Huh, I think the eShop version is an updated version over the cartridge version.

I distinctly remember there being complaints of having only one save file, which hinders the want to buy it used. Bur here I clearly have the option to start a new game, or save file.

and

There's no option for the Resident Evil Revelations demo that was previously included.

Just a little something I noticed.

They probably matched Best Buy, they do often which is nice because I have amazon prime, plus no tax.

Anyways I would totally jump on the M&L deal if I wasn't saving for the Zelda 3DS XL.

Same here, I have Amazon Student. It's free for six months, then it rolls to a 50% off Prime sub for four years. I'd love to get M&L, but I just spent my money. =P

It'd be a deal if you got the first print edition, I don't think I've seen any standard SMT IV games in stores yet, but that's probably because it's such a niche game.

13 bucks off a new release is still a nice deal. Nothing crazy but it'll get some people who are on the fence to buy it.
Title: Re: Gaming Deals
Post by: Snowy on November 08, 2013, 10:50:53 AM
I wouldn't call a game that came out in July new. The game launched nearly 6 months ago at a premium price and came with some extra stuff. Now it's still $50 and only got $13. I wouldn't call it a killer deal. I'd rather wait until it's cheaper or used down the line if I didn't already own it.

If I can get 13 bucks off a game I'd consider it a good deal especially off a niche title but whatever.  I'll thank VIP for posting it since if I didn't already have it I would've bought it at that price since that's the lowest I've seen it.

Not my kind of game, SuperZambezi, I wouldn't touch this at all even using Steam myself, sorry. Violence, mature things, heck no... nothing more than rated 10+ to me.

Anyways, some other things I discovered related to my likes...

Pac Man & The Ghostly Adventures is at 50% off on the Wii U until somewhere today. (Saw it late, but on time!) > Not anymore, haven't got the time to download!
Also, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on PlayStation Vita is apparently Free for Playstation Plus users, and because I am, then score!
Title: Re: Gaming Deals
Post by: Justin on December 25, 2013, 01:39:40 PM
Lol why would you limit yourself so much.
Title: Re: Gaming Deals
Post by: IggyKoopaStar on December 25, 2013, 02:26:29 PM
I would tell you that I was even more limited in the past, it was quite something. It was only Mario and Pokemon until like this 2010 where I took an high interest into three specific game series, which are Sonic The Hedgehog, Super Monkey Ball and Samba de Amigo.

It's mostly because, as I said earlier, those kind of games doesn't appeal to me, and I know I won't take time to download and add a game I will most likely not play. I think it makes sense. Also, well I'm mostly on Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed lately and I keep playing non-stop.

But now, I do limit myself even more because I'm trying to don't get too much games now, I prefer to have restricted interests.

Is this guy serious?

Im all for blue skies in games but have fun missing out on a ton of amazing games. You can't say you won't like something due to an ESRB rating. Ridiculous. Have fun not playing games like Brothers because its rated Teen instead of E10...

That's very close-minded. You're missing out on a lot of great games by putting silly rules on yourself.
Title: Re: Gaming Deals
Post by: IggyKoopaStar on December 26, 2013, 12:13:08 PM
Look, it's simple, I don't like the games. I tried some of that sort and I can definitely say that I haven't got a pleasure at all to play those (I got rid of them). I would not see myself playing games which involve violence or mature things in any way anymore. I respect everyone which plays them, but I'm just not the kind of person to be put on it, and being told that I do wrong choices is just wrong to do. It's my choice to be and I think you need to respect that I don't like those kind of games and that those disgust me and put me embarassed at the moment I'm looking at the screen or hear about that sort of language. In addition to that, I prefer "childish-like" environnement when I play video games. It is an important point to me when the characters, story (if there's one) and all those details on the games I play are intriguing. I prefer to feel like a kid more than an adult, in all honestly.

Also, I say 10+ because that's usually a rating where the game content is actually acceptable to me, because after that, with the exception of Star Fox & Smash Bros series (Which is personally the top I would go and that I'm 'alright' with), some details in the game might disturb me like I already experienced, and it was not good to see. Also, it's my money, and my time, my profiles and all, so I think I can buy,  play, and put what I want. And, I'd rather play the same game over and over rather than always buying a new one.

And in the end, think about it. Think about why I'm around this forum already... It's because of a game series I'm appreciating a lot, my favorite sort of Mario game, hands down. And that's why I appreciate seeing all the work around, to take us, Mario fans, as an important fanbase and to us, to enjoy talking about what we like and want to hear about. I would probably not be here if it wasn't a little about Mario Party to begin with. There's differences with people and I think it's something you all need to accept, so that's indeed something to take into huge consideration.

This is my final answer, I think I touch at all the aspects now and I'll stop telling things in a place 'out of place'.
Title: Re: Gaming Deals
Post by: ttwashere on December 26, 2013, 03:08:37 PM
The problem is you're typecasting every single game that isn't rated E or E10+ as something that "disgusts" you and "embarrasses" you.

There is a difference from looking at a game's content and deciding you wouldn't enjoy it and then saying "I only play games up to E10+".

Like, I said you're missing out on amazing experiences like 'Brothers' which i'm pretty sure you would be into.

But whatever if you want to miss out by being stubborn then your loss.

Not even trying to say, "Play Left 4 Dead 2 because it's a really good game and free" but what i'm trying to say is to disregard a game by its ESRB rating is absolutely ridiculous.

Like I said earlier i'm all about the UK Resistance 'Blue Skies in Gaming' campaign

but you're missing out on phenomenal games.

Not trying to be rude, its just good to actually get out of your comfort zone. People who only play the same types of games are really missing out.

That's what I did, since it was such a steal (BTW, it was $30 :P).

I had just bought Bioshock 1&2 about a month ago, so getting Infinite from PS Plus in January is just beautiful. PS Plus is definitely worth it, even for $50. I'll be getting my PS4 and PS Vita sometime in February/March (if the PS4 is in stock by then), so I'm excited that I'll have games for them beforehand.

The only thing I need to do now is expand my storage because my 80GB in my PS3 is completely full. :P

Humble Bundle X is out, pay what you want for: To the Moon, Joe Danger 2: The Movie, Papo and Yo, Bit.Trip Runner 2, and beat the average for Reus, Surgeon Simulator 2013, and upcoming games.

Oh no, I miss-remembered one letter, I'm just a terrible person.

Anyhow if you're interested in the game read this:
http://www.polygon.com/2012/10/12/3493250/therapy-alcohol-and-chickens-the-story-behind-psns-papo-yo (http://www.polygon.com/2012/10/12/3493250/therapy-alcohol-and-chickens-the-story-behind-psns-papo-yo)

Kinda like 'Brothers' how its all based on personal experience.

I still feel like this is my favorite quote about game budgets:
"We really wanted chickens, and then we looked at the budget and said, 'Oh F*** - we cannot afford chickens.' And I said, 'But we have frogs. Why don't we just put frogs around instead?' And we realized, 'Why did we want chickens? We have frogs already!' And a lot of video game companies would have just thrown that money around."

And as someone who has pretty much gone through the same thing he describes here I feel like this quote is totally spot-on:
"I think that the problem when you grow up with someone who has an addiction is you always want to save them. You think you can save them, and you always want to save them, but you just can't. And sometimes, knowing that my father died taught me to realize that I couldn't have saved him."

Powerful stuff.

Already own the Vita stuff (plus Modnation Racers isn't very good) but pumped for Outlast. Excited to try Remember Me and Payday 2. Gotta play the first Metro game before I play Last Light.
