Mario Party 10
*N.B. categories are in spoilers to avoid blocks of text*Spoiler: Story (click to show/hide)In a world both separate to our own and that of the Marioverse, there exists a fantastic nebula known as the Nostalas. Harboring the powers of nostalgia, it creates a realm which is so believable that it transcends the bounds of reality and dreams.
It was at one gathering by the Mario crew where they discussed the possibility of celebrating their history with a good old Mario Party, when a dreamlike figure called Divo, the Lord of Nostalgia, materialized and promised to create a party world to capture the essence of their memories and of Mario Party. It was an offer too good to refuse.
Naturally however, Bowser was never let in on the plan, and when news came in from his troops of this anniversary party, he was full of wrath. "How dare they forget me, the Koopa King, without whom they will not have had memories of such conflict and peace! Let's crush their hopes and take over the Kingdom while we are at it!" Sending three of his trusted minions, Dry Bones, Hammer Bro and Magikoopa, Bowser readied his army for a relentless attack.
Little did he know that his son Junior had chosen to venture out as well, releasing a confused Koopa Kid from the shackles of obscurity, before setting off on his own to the party. What goal does he have... is he defying his father or trying to prove himself?
Oblivious to all this, Mario and crew begin the festivities of their lives. But will their nostalgia be a fatal distraction to the calamity that is sure to unfold? Perhaps a guiding voice from the heavens may save them and Divo...Spoiler: Menu Layout (click to show/hide)Title Screen

--->Mirror WorldSpoiler: Hosts (click to show/hide)Divo, Lord of Nostalgia - a mystical denizen of the nostalgic worlds of Nostalas, and somewhat of a prodigy at creating hyper-realistic illusions. He takes the form of a mix between Merlon and Geno, complete with red hair and blue robes, while his personality is probably best described as rather arrogant but genuinely pleased to see people enjoy his creations. He is the primary host of the game and guides the players in Party, Story and Minigame modes.
Etoiline, Ambassador of Dreams - Divo's assistant and ambassador for Nostalas to the Star Spirits. Her specialty is to fill those who experience the power of surreal nostalgia with euphoria and longing, making them repeat their enjoyment of the magical experience. Unlike her boss, she is quite humble and seems rather inclined to attribute much of the success to Divo even if she was the one who really make the experience unforgettable. She awards bonuses in Classic and Gold Rush rule set games, and operates Puzzle Mode, Extras Mode and the Star Galleria. She appears like a feminized Dimentio with Merluvlee color palette, star motif, and head styled on Grace from Mario Golf.
Rosalina - the mother of the stars and keeper of the galaxy. She assists the Mario crew with her space. She also appears as the guide for Galaxy Tour.
Bowser - the demonic Koopa King. Rules over his board and otherwise frightens everyone at his space. It's rumored that you face him after besting Junior, but in what...?
Diddy Kong - hosts Donkey Kong Island. His acrobatic talent allows him to help the crew almost immediately, even if they're on opposite parts of the island.
Jimmy T and Mona - cohost Diamond City. In the off season from micro games, Jimmy T can be seen clubbing while Mona keeps job hopping.
Lumas - support Rosalina and also host Good Egg Galaxy/Rainbow Road. It's rumored that the Lumas have color preferences when helping the crew - e.g. Yellow Luma likes helping the Heroes and Ladies.Spoiler: Playable Characters (click to show/hide)Heroes and Ladies
Mario - it ain't a Mario Party without the namesake! Dashing in red and always the go to hero for princess saving or party hosting, Mario's got everything covered for this blockbuster!
Luigi - mean and green, the younger brother has always been there from the start as well! Well trimmed moustache and fear of the paranormal intact, Luigi has his opportunities to shine and show that the party ring is his limelight.
Peach - the archetypal princess just loves parties. Not tea parties. Mario Parties. :p Graceful yet feisty, her charm makes any party so much more alive - but perhaps attracts Browser's attention as well...
Daisy - spunk and sass are just some of this idol's specialties. You know you've got a popular party when another celebrity princess starts digging the tomboyish activities!
Superstar Supporters
Yoshi - being the most loved of playable characters to date, Yoshi is ready to spread happiness in this latest iteration of Mario Party! Perhaps Yoshi eggs could make good 'fireworks'...
Toad - the eternal retainer and diligent helper of the Mushroom Kingdom. A sense of can-do and strength to boot makes organizing any party a breeze! Princess protecting...? Maybe not so much.
Koopa - keeping a stoic composure isn't easy for any minion. But Koopa is different. An unsung hero of board logistics in the earliest games, and a business boomer otherwise. He's got the dough to make the party the best it can be.
Shy Guy - some mysteries are best left unanswered. Especially the mystery of Shy Guy's mask. Of course, no-one sees value in pulling it off - no point creating a tension point between partygoers! And Shy Guy would prefer... not being so shy.
Cunning Crew
Wario - a rival to the man in red, this generally greedy adventurer thou D's up the cast of super regulars, having only missed a stint in Advance. He's ready to steal the show from the others and prove that going for gold is best.
Waluigi - ensemble dark horse, lanky, cranky, and deceptive. It takes all kinds to make a Mario Party... and to be fair, people are starting to accept him these days. Perhaps its his time to climb out of the shadows...
Boo - spooking your party since the beginning, Boo loves causing mischief and unhappy party goers with its coin and star stealing shenanigans. Being playable has tamed it a bit, but it still concocts plans for chaos on a whim.
Koopa Kid - this poor guy has been neglected of late. His appearances in the old days were under the guise of Baby or Mini Bowser but it was in the GCN era where we remember and love his romp. And now his renaissance has arrived.
Wild and Wonderful
Donkey Kong - oh look who's back! The great ape had a big time out since the fifth game, but during that interval he went toe to toe with the nefarious Koopa King and came out on top many times! Such strength will be sure to keep everyone safe!
Toadette - a hiatus of 5 years has done nothing to dampen Toadette's zeal for partying and otherwise having a blast. She may not be as homicidal as everyone thinks, but surely she's got secrets planned ahead...?
Birdo - a bit of a controversy in the Marioverse, but hey, who doesn't love controversy?! The crew certainly don't mind a gender-disputed egg spitting dinosaur. Neither should you. Just enjoy the party okay? :p
Blooper - inking everything on sight is something Blooper's learning to control. Floating in midair it is mastering. Being accepted by the fan base as a viable character might prove too big of a fish to fry though...
Formidable Foes
Dry Bones - there's no bones about it, the undead love partying as much as we do. Dry Bones probably needs a throat lozenge for all the squawking it'll do as it parties hard - in the meanwhile keep its funny bone active.
Hammer Bro - the elite of the Koopa Troop still find a day at a party the most relaxing thing after pay raises (if they get paid that is). Certainly more interesting than being a generic mini game obstacle. Jo-jo!
Magikoopa - this wily wizard decided it would be fun to join Bowser's latest conquest of the Mini-Stars. Sadly beating his boss/nurse child/protege in mini games has kindled a desire to join the party crew for real this time. Those senile wizards!
Bowser Jr (new) - following in his fathers footsteps doesn't have to strictly mean 'cause havoc on the board when called for'. He's decided that causing havo as an actual party player would do just fine. And besides he knows the ins and outs of Mario Party. He better do his dad proud!Spoiler: Boards (click to show/hide)To fit the theme of 10 and nostalgia, the boards have been crafted from the deepest memories of Mario and crew. The last two boards are unlockable.
-Mushroom Kingdom and World-
Harking to the days of the firsts few games (1, Lost Levels, 3) this board is simple but still full of surprises to keep players guessing. Traverse through grassland, ocean, underground, sky and much more in a familiar land! Beware warp zones that take you to places unexpected! Use the Magic Construction item to create new terrain within worlds, and uncover both new warp routes and hidden secrets (ie hidden blocks). You might also uncover blocks when using the Destruction items to remove pathways.
-Sarasaland-
A land with eastern influenced architecture, and Daisy's home kingdom. The unique feature of this board is that it is compact but spans three levels that share pathways but whose space and event layout can vary significantly. The Construction/Destruction items change all three levels paths simultaneously. Expect to see some events involving Sea Pop, Sky Pop, and Superball Flowers. Classic Rules.
-Dinosaur Land and Yoshi's Island-
Tropical paradises in their own right, the idyllic settings of the SMW games provide great places to explore secrets and discover new routes. The Construction/Destruction items only work when players enter the Forest of Illusion and the Valley of Bowser, but at those times they can cause great grief in your rivals! The style in this game is Race to the Finish, starting from the final world of Yoshi's Island, through to completing Dinosaur Land as per SMW.
-All Cup Tour-
While not explicitly 16 full courses back to back, this board still provides a lot of twists and turns with intricate connections between sections of each track to make it feel like a genuine Mario Kart race. The Construction/Destruction items serve to make certain connections lengthier or shorter, or create or destroy new connections. Items available become both more powerful and cheaper as you fall further behind your rivals. Race to the Finish style.
-Delfino Plaza-
Another tropical locale filled with many nooks and crannies. Yoshis and fruits abound can help uncover the mysteries of the plaza while careful use of the Construction/Destruction items can create FLUDD pathways or seal others with graffiti. This board uses a Mission style rule set which still goes by turns but is based on achieving a certain number of quests to earn Shine Sprites.
-Diamond City-
The enterprising Wario makes his masterpieces of microgames in this well to do township, and despite his greed somehow still has his cronies/employees stay with him. Different sections of the board have themes based on Wario's employees, and there are many many mini game spaces in this board. Construction items allow for more exploration in each theme and between themes while Destruction items make the action fast and frantic. Mission style - every turn you get points for consecutive minigame winning chains, so do your best to win them all!
-Donkey Kong Island-
The intense jungle beat pounds into your minds as you go on a perilous quest to harvest bananas from the island and avoid Kremling attacks. Winding pathways that seem to connect air, ground, sea and cave seamlessly make this board highly confusing but it is surprisingly easy to find your way at the goal - even if you didn't want to be there. This board allows players to use the Construction item to place banana tally barriers to prevent others from accessing certain ares unless they have over - or UNDER - a certain number of bananas. But they are just as easily destroyed. Utilize animal buddies and blast barrels to maneuver quickly and cash in with the most bananas to win! Gold Rush style - collect as many bananas before arriving at the goal.
-Gold Mushroom Kingdom-
Everything is coated in glorious gold! This is essentially like the first board, but with themes drawing from the NSMB and SM3D series games to make a vibrant and chaotic stage on which to collect as many coins as conceivably possible before hitting the turn limit. Use the Gold items to boost the coin earnings, and clever use of Star and Moon Coins to warp and save coin status will lead to victory. Construction and deconstruction items both help with the gold harvest. Gold Rush style with turn limit.
-Bowser Castle and Dark World-
Unlockable through story. Obviously fed up that the Mario crew forgot about his role in their history, Browser went overboard and created this conglomerate of his castles and the dark world of SMB3, complete with army units and airships. A huge stage where Construction and Destruction of Tanks and Airships provides some alteration in route but ultimately provides simple alternatives. This board is quite evil for destroying your coins or other progress, be careful! Available to play all four objective rules (Classic, Race, Mission, Gold Rush).
-Rainbow Road and Good Egg Galaxy-
Unlockable from Extras. The final frontier of space is no match for the stellar aspirations of the Mario crew! Planet hopping and rainbow cruising are both pastimes out of this world, but uniting them has never been such a dream born! This board excels in construction/destruction item use, where whole planets and planetary systems can be created or destroyed in a flash. The rainbow road provides a constant network even if interplanetary Launch Stars are broken or inaccessible, but it too can be manipulated nearly to heart's content. Rosalina's watch over here allows higher chances of her blessing. Available to play all four objective rule sets.Spoiler: More on Party/Story/Puzzle/Extra Modes (click to show/hide)The boards in Party Mode have different objectives. Briefly, they are:
Classic - stars and coins, nothing too different.
Race to the Finish - much like MP3DS, get to the end first. There are usually restrictions on mushroom items in this mode. Collecting coins and ministars increases your dice's size (e.g. from 1-3 with 0 coins to 1-10 with 50) and total distance moved respectively.
Mission - something other than Stars/ministars/coins is the ultimate objective. However those three stats usually help in raising the board objective stat. Has a turn limit similar to Classic.
Gold Rush - a modified variation of Car Mode in MP9. Players amass coins (or bananas in one instance) and ministars before arriving at checkpoints and eventually a goal. Turn limits are generally enforced for each section of the board.
All party modes are playable with 2-4 players.
Story mode sees you run through the first nine boards with Mushroom World/Kingdom always first and Bowser Castle/Dark World last. The unlockable characters will appear at least once each run through, though one of the three will challenge you a second time. Bowser Jr is your rival on boards 3,6,9 and you must beat him to progress. There is a boss battle but it is against Bowser and only after completing the 9th board.
Puzzle
Not Mush Room - if you've ever played Rush Hour/Traffic Jam or Klotski, this is pretty much it. If you don't, essentially you have to get a certain block out of the field by moving other blocks to open a path for the special block to escape. Touch controls, 50 levels.
Space Innovators - imagine Dr Mario in 3D but with matching combos like Wario's Woods (squares, diagonals, and orthogonals). A/B to rotate left/right, X/Y to rotate up/down, and shoulders to spin view. Z shoulders to see levels of blocks more closely, and moving GamePad/flicking screen also adjusts view. This game is slow to accommodate the initial difficulty of working in three dimensions but will pick up rather quickly, so be careful!
Extras
Bowser Bowling - Star Carnival Bowling was so last console. Throw in some items like Ice Blue Shells, Fireballs and Thwomp obstacles to mess with your rivals' frames!
Tetris Tag - a co-op Tetris game but each round everyone is stuck with just one piece type! Aim to clear the required number of rows!
Galaxy Tour - experience the thrill of space travel and grab a few ministars to take back!
Mirror World - a strange domain where the power of the GamePad transforms the rules at any turn! Exclusively features Control Minigames.Spoiler: GamePad features (click to show/hide)The WiiU gamepad provides a unique interface to the Mario Party world. Not only do players enjoy their interactions on the board and in minigames, as the series is always well known for; you can now directly manipulate the action with the touch interface!
Some of the features exclusive to the holder of the GamePad include:
-During turns, if you have special Magic Construction items, you can use them to draw in new paths on the board which will then be rendered real time. Spaces allocated aren't necessarily what you might expect - there could be lots of red spaces, or item, or Bowser! Magic Destruction items do much the same thing, though only branching pathways are allowed to be removed.
-The effects of some items can be amplified by either tapping your player in time with the item use (hey! Action Commands!) or by drawing a shape on screen (Art Attack!).
-Tap other players in the board when it isn't their turn to elicit some funny reactions from them. Perhaps even make them drop a coin or get moved by a space!
-Overall board feature interactivity is increased. Say hi to Koopas on the loop, Goomba managers, even the buildings themselves!
-Minigames are where it's at! In addition to classic mini games like 4 Player and so on, there are new games specifically designed for GamePads! As up to two GamePads are compatible with Mario Party 10, you can have GP 1vsRivals, GP 2vs2, and GP 1vs1vs2!
-There's also the super cool Control minigame category, where the player with the GamePad can control obstacles or victory conditions while the other players battle it out! Only suitable for 4 players sadly. If you have another friend, you can also enable 5P control with your friend being the game master and you duking it out with the others too!
-True puzzle sensitivity with a DS like interface for Puzzle Minigames.
-Bring AR cards into contact with the GamePad and watch as special unlockables come to life! All AR cards come with a bonus to your overall Star and Coin tally, so don't be afraid to collect and trade!Spoiler: Spaces (click to show/hide)Common spaces appear on practically every board regardless of ruleset:
Blue - gain 3 coins
Red - lose 3 coins
Happening - triggers a board event
Rosalina - receive a helpful boost or play a Rosalina Minigame
Bowser - endure a painful setback or play a Bowser Minigame
Item - receive an item at random, depending on your ranking
Bank - pass and deposit coins or ministars, land and take out the balance of your choice

Back - move backwards on your next turn
Stop - lose your turn next move
Shortcut - jump ahead by taking an easier path
Backstreet - a winding road with more distance to cover
Shuffle - alter turn order
Exclusive to Mission Rules:

Boom - objective stat grows by 10%
Bust - objective stat falls by 10%
Exclusive to Gold Rush Rules:
Revolution - everyone now has an equal number of coins/bananas/ministars!
Bonus - get a boost simply by passing over, but land on it and you get even more!
Challenge - winner of next minigame gets a 3x boost to winningsSpoiler: Items (click to show/hide)Items can be generally categorized as Movement, Attacking, Defensive, or Special.
Movement items are classic things like Mushrooms, Magic Lamps, Warp Pipes and items thrown on the board that knock opponents off course. Mushrooms are removed from Race rules since they would make whoever has them win far too easily.
Attacking items steal coins from other players (like Bullet Bill, steal 30 coins if you run past a rival using this) or make rivals lose their coins or items (like Spiny Shell, makes players who land on where this is set lose half their coins). Items like Battle Badges (start a duel minigame) also count in this category, as does the Boo Portrait (summon Pink Boo to steal).
Defensive items either protect from attacks (including coin stealing from Pink Boos, example item is the Poltergust 3000) or allow players to passively collect coins (e.g. Heart absorbs attacks and converts 25% coin damage received into coins earned).
Special items include the Construction and Destruction Items (with different names on each board), Bowser and Rosalina pendants that create another one of their spaces, and items that can affect how the star operates - e.g. Platinum Star changes star values of board stars to double (including ministars) for a few turns.Spoiler: Minigames (click to show/hide)Free For All (FFA) - minigames where everyone is for themselves. Some of these minigames also qualify as Duel Minigames.
e.g. Gold and Pilfer - the aim is for each player to use Gold Flowers and make their opponents drop coins/bags/chests to pick up, but beware anti coins that will make you drop some of your earnings and stun you.
1 vs Rivals (1vR) - minigames that pit one player against at least two others.
e.g. The Goom, The Pa and the Ugly - the solo player operates a Giant Goomba mech and tries to jump on and trample his/her rivals. The rivals have two options to defeat the solo player; last until the end of the round, or ground pound the mech enough times to break it. To make things harder, Goombas fall into the arena at random and at the solo player's will, and they stun team players if they're hit - though using Goombas as trampolines to go for a ground pound is a good strategy.
2 vs 2 (2v2) - minigames where two teams of two duke it out. Like you'd expect, some of these minigames are adapted to be Duel Minigames. Note that many of these minigames have varying controls between the two players on a team.
e.g. Disasterly Duos - if you remember Destruction Duet, this is going along the same principle... at first. Until you realize that the more you bash the Bowser statue, stuff starts falling into both teams' areas. Like Bob-ombs. And falling spikes. The goal is still to destroy your team's statue first, but you'll also have to watch your health meter (three each) since if you get hit by enough debris/obstacles, you'll be out and cripple your team. Also beware booby trapped areas of your own statue. :p
Battle - minigames that are essentially FFA but distribute payout based on the pot and rankings.
e.g. Volley Folly - 4-player Dead Man's Volley of LOZ fame, with Koopa Shells at first, then Bob-ombs, then Bullet Bills... You get some leniency in earlier rounds and speeds since Koopa Shells deal little damage. Bullet Bills on the other hand knock you out instantly. Items can spawn on the arena randomly for collection - Mushrooms restore some health, Peppers increase power, and Syrups increase your timing allowance.
GamePad 1 vs Rivals (GP1vR) - like Mic Minigames of old, this mode pits someone with the GamePad against everyone else with Wiimotes. While the GamePad offers some advantages regarding viewpoints and direct interaction, usually their mission is harder, or their actions less decisive.
e.g. Dance Dance Re-boo-lution - the solo player makes a dance routine similar to Move to the Music or Mario Bandstand by swiping the screen or tapping it, and the team players respond with timed movements of their own. Whenever all the team succeeds, the solo player must continue their routing a la The Beat Goes On making their routine longer and longer - however the team only needs to repeat the last stanza added. The solo player has only one chance to miss before they lose, so be careful.
GamePad 2 vs 2 (GP2v2) - needs two GamePads. Essentially the Wiimote players have to achieve a goal with assistance from the GamePad players.
e.g. Screw Drivers - the Wiimote players race against each other as per any racing minigame in the series, but the GamePad players have a mission not dissimilar to Silly Screws but with touch and shoulder button controls added in to make it a bit tougher - optimizing the inner gears of the screwdriver racers is the key to winning the race for your partner.
GamePad 1 vs 1 vs 2 (GP1v1v2) - needs two GamePads. Players with GamePads have to battle on two fronts - against the other GamePad player and the Wiimote team - while the team's main goal is to survive and possibly mess around with the GamePad players' plans. It is possible for the team and one GamePad player to joint win, but never possible for both GamePad players to joint win.
e.g. Minis Mark Again - the GamePad players have to direct their Mini toys to a certain area and then use said Minis to attack the opposition as well as the team. The team starts with 3 health each but any stray collision with a Mini costs them health. A GamePad player loses if 5 or their Minis gets attacked in any form, from either the team's attacks or the opposing GamePad player.
Control - a special mini game type only found in Mirror World, where one player controls the intensity of the action in game while the other players fight for victory. A fifth person may control the GamePad in this mode and let four Wiimote players get involved.
e.g. A Cut Above - sorta like one of the Wii Sports Resort swordplay games or Clean Cut. The GamePad player determines how the objects presented should be cut, and for how long they can last before disappearing. Then the Wiimote players must use their pointer to trace the cut line like in Crazy Cutters, while avoiding cutting things like Bob-ombs the GP player may send at them.
Bowser - a typical Bowser styled mini game where failure equals pain.
e.g. One Few Over The Koopa's Nest - players control paragliders hurtling toward a fortress guarded by shell cannons. Avoid the shots and try to land safely on the rooftop, but beware fire breath and spiny shells that WILL take you down.
Rosalina - much like Donkey Kong mini games of old. May award Ministars instead of coins.
e.g. Rosalina's Nice World - a slippy slidy arena filled with coins/mini stars but also lots of pitfalls. Collect anything you can and knock your rivals down to stop them from doing the same!
There's also a boss battle with Bowser, but what could it be...?Spoiler: Unlockables (click to show/hide)Similar to unlocking things in both the early MPs and games like MP7/8, you can use accumulated coins, mini stars/bananas and stars to purchase various items and use them. BOARDS
Lemmy’s Toy Palace (Cost 20 Coins for a star)
Pretty basic but fun. You go around a toy store looking for the star space. You might need to ride toy trains, airplanes, boats, or even a giant teddy bear! This is one of the bigger boards, so there will be more question mark spaces. Some examples are...
Get Squished by a teddy bear and lose half your coins.
Ride Vehicles to different areas.
Play short games for coins.
Morton’s Mummy Desert (First to the top will obtain a star)
This board is good for starters. You will have to go through ruins, go past an oasis, and climb pyramids to obtain the star. Once you reach it, you will roll a dice block to see how many coins it costs. Watch out for the following question mark spaces.
A strong wind will blow you to the start.
Hit a dice block which will either double the price of a star or half price it just for you.
Sink underground and will be stuck in an area until landed on another question mark space.
Larry’s Sunken Shiphold (Find the treasure chest that contains the star)
This board is a little more advanced. It takes place in a pirate ship sunken back in 1912, under the sea. It has been turned into a board because of all its features. You go searching for five treasure chests, but not all of them are good. They contain the following. A star, 20 coins, A ztar,(Will make you lose a star) A bob omb (will bring you back to the start) And nothing. Once you found the star, all the chests will move somewhere else. These are the following Question mark spaces.
Switch up all the chests.
Makes you skip a turn.
Will teleport you to a random chest.
Wendy’s Frozen Beach (Players must buy certain items to get the star)
Nothing like going to the beach on a cold winter day. This board takes place in the summer and winter. Not only do you have to buy items to get to the star, you must pay coins to switch up the seasons! For example. The star was on the beach, but it was winter so you couldn’t enter. You must find a switch to change it to summer, so you can enter. But you don’t pay for the star, the star only accepts certain items. If you give it a wrong item, you will teleport to the start. Some of the question mark spaces are.
Change the season to whatever you want.
Freeze and miss a turn.
Get a mystery item.
Iggy’s Prehistoric Wilderness (Must pay to buy secret enterances to get to the star)
The star, in the middle of a forest, blocked by secret enterences. You are all around the perimeter of the board, and you must pay to find ways to get to the middle, containing the star. These are some of the question mark spaces.
Get to play in a lottery shop.
Teleoprt to somewhere else.
Play a little game which will allow you to get coins.
Roy’s Rocky Mountains (Must get to the top to obtain a star)
The same rules as Morton’s Mummy Desert, except more advanced. You will gotta hold on to your bolts if you wanna beat this board. The main problem is the question mark spaces.
Fall down to the start.
Take the rocky road train to somewhere else.
Take a rocket ship to the closest Bowser Space
Ludwig’s Tick Tock Clock (Go through different enterences to find the star)
Just like Clockwork Tower, You must go past disappearing plates. This board is very advanced, so watch out! Watch out for the question mark spaces. You need to find them out yourself!
Bowser Jr’s Fortilla Fortress (All Bros walk around carrying stars. Whatever number they roll, thats how much the star costs) The most advanced board. This is the finale. If you beat this, you’re a Mario Party Legend! Question mark spaces are tough, so be careful.
Warps you to the start
Lose all your coins and stars
Spin the Bowser Wheel
You’re in for a surprise! You need to fight all the Koopalings, Bowser Jr. And Bowser!
Each Koopaling has its own space somewhere on the board. Each one is very unique. The spaces have their faces on it. If you beat them, you get a surprise!
Lemmy- Beat him in a train race.
Morton- Push him in a coffin.
Larry- Make him walk the plank.
Wendy- Freeze her.
Iggy- Ride a vine and kick him.
Roy- Throw Rocks at him.
Ludwig- Make him dizzy with a clock.
Bowser Jr.- Set him on fire.
GAMEPAD
Use the stylus to play minigames. You might need to slide the stylus, tap it, or even draw to complete them.
HOW TO PLAY STORY MODE
You start out with one board, then once you complete it, you unlock the next one, then the next one, and so it goes on. Once you have completed a board, a new prize will come. Once you finish a board you get ranked on how well you played. You are able to get the following ranks. 1. Star (bronze) 2. Super (silver) 3. Superstar (gold) The better rank you get, the better prizes you receive. A star rank will give you an item based on the board you finished. STORY
The Blue, Green, and Yellow Toads all come up to Mario and Co. (as they are celebrating Luigi's Birthday) saying they had a surprise! Most everyone takes interest, only to find out they were going to have a Mario Party! Now, excitement grows even bigger, when Green Toad shows them the Grand Prize; a solid gold magical amulet called the Party Medal. Wario and Waluigi, whilst not invited, were peeking through Peach's Castle (snooping around like usual, those stalkers) right around this moment. Instantly, dollar signs glow in their eyes, they wanted that amulet. Solid Gold for something so big? So, Mario and Co. all began to play. Bringing in more friends as the game goes on.
And just when the winner is about to crowned, the meanest villain in all the land shows up! Bowser and his son swipe it away, wanting it all to himself. The three Toads go into a frenzy after reading the ransom note (Come to my castle for a REAL party! Mwahahahaha - Lord Bowser) and beg the winner to try and get it back. So, you finally do, defeating his fiendish board and sending him and Bowser Jr. in their place! The party really starts, as they bring out a big cake with little figures of everyone (even Waluigi and Wario) on top of a mock board.
MAPS
Acorn Meadows: The simple beautiful world from New Super Mario Bros. U, travel around the lush acorn-filled meadows while you try and collect the stars. This is an easy beginner's board, as stars just appear randomly on the board and only change locations if a player collects it or a Battle Minigame starts (every 5 turns.) There are lots of attractions, like the Big Acorn Tree, which if you land on a Green space there, an Acorn Mushroom might fall on you and you'll lose 3 coins! Even worse, if you step on the wrong Green Space, a Waddlewing will snatch you away to send you to a random spot on the board. There are a couple green spaces, such as the one by the Balloon Baby Yoshi that'll give you 5 coins! Despite this, it's still a very fun board to play and easy to play as well!
Interactive Pieces:
Big Acorn Tree- "Wow! I've never seen a tree go so high, I wonder if I could see my house from up there?"
Waddlewing- "These guys excel at gliding. I bet they can slip through the tiniest of cracks between two Pipes because they're so graceful and skilled!"
Baby Yoshi- "Aw... how cute! Despite having a large appetite, these guys great make pets!"
Sweet Coasters: A candy themed amusement park, with lots of coasters and rides to go onto! Players move across the board to try and get to Nabbit first, who has stolen a star! However, when a Duel Minigame is played or he is caught, he will move from his current spot and rush over to another space. Certain Green Spaces can take you to Shop Tents, make you ride on a coaster to another section of the board, or even make you LOSE a turn. The map itself has lots of candy, like a Licorice statue of our two favorite plumbers, Mario and Luigi, or the fact that the board paths are themed off of peppermint! This is a sweet tooth's paradise
Unlockable Character
Diddy Kong
Interactive Pieces:
Licorice Statue- "An intricate likeliness of the Mario Brothers. How the architects made blue licorice, I don't know."
Candy Kart- "A long overdue classic; Don't worry, the wheels won't melt."
Nabbit- "A bit of a sweet tooth apparently. Poor guy just wants to play with Mario and friends."
Mario Circuit: A recreation of the Mario Circuit from Mario Kart DS, this board will make your head spin. The only way to get stars is to cross the finish line! There are lots of Green Spaces to trip you up here, such as a Piranha Plant scorching, being sent back 5 spaces due to a runaway kart, or even being sent FORWARD by a Goomba. There are lots of opportunities to move forward, such as winning a mini game will send you up two spaces. A green space by the Hot Dog Stand actually gives you 7 coins, too, what a treat! This map is a racing dream come true!
Interactive Pieces:
Finish Flag-" Doesn't the iconic design alone make you think about glorious First Place?"
Kart-"These racing machines have revved up Mushroom Kingdom entertainment for over twenty years, and they keep getting cooler."
Goomba-"Wow, a Goomba who advances your progress; if only that happened when I was on the racetrack."
The Underwhere: This is in the scary place where ghoulish spirits reside their now empty souls. Would you like a star? Well, you'd have to talk to the merciless Queen Jaydes who MIGHT grant you a portal to Grambi in the Overwhere who will give you a Star. But, it's not just as easy to talk to her. She wants some moolah, 50 coins, to be exact. The map itself gives you grand tour of the Underwhere. You start off by the fountain, then you get a great view of the Underchomp (be warned, he may bite some of your coins away), next you can get a great ferry ride by deluxe boater Charold atop the River Twygz. Be warned, you might be tossed back by spooky Underhands, and have to pay Charold 20 coins again. Don't have enough? You'll have to go around, mwahaha! Finally, you reach Queen Jaydes Palace, and you better hope you have enough coins or else you'll be sent back to the start!
Unlockable Character
Dry Bones
Interactive Pieces:
The Underchomp- "Yikes! Three heads and a big appetite are nothing but trouble, so you better stay away!"
Charold's Ferry Ride- "This part may seem peaceful, but Charold doesn't do anything for free! Plus, you might be thrown back and forced to pay again."
Queen Jaydes- "Queen of all the restless Shaydes, she can grant you access to a star. But, like everywhere here, it's gonna cost some coins!"
Sky High Hideaway: High above the looming mountain, a magical Sack of Stars accumulates every once in a while. Your job is to reach it, by passing the 42 spaces (that are in a straight line) in 6 turns. If nobody reaches it in that time, it explodes and a Battle Minigame goes into play. After the minigame is played, you have to try it all over again. However, reaching it is a challenge. In one space, you could be sent back to start by a rock slide, but two at the beginning can launch you to the 3/4 mark to the Star Sack. Once you've reached King Koopamanu's Great Tomb (where the star sack accumulates) you must try to bargain with the Bandit. You can buy as many stars as you please, but the Stars go up by ten each time you buy one, starting at 20. These rocky bluffs are dangerous yet a blast to play in.
Unlockable Character
Donkey Kong
Interactive Pieces:
Star Sack- "A mystical, magical bag of stars is what this is, in simple terms."
Bandit- "These guys can be con men, so I don't trust them. They may butter you up, then basically run you dry!"
Koopamanu Tomb- "This dude was a great ruler, who ruled so very long ago. Rumor has it that his body was never found!"
Rosalina's Cosmos Journey: Hop from planet to planet to try and get the spacial Stars, before they float to another planet. You only have 3 turns before it warps to a different location. The multi-colored planets only have Launch Stars in certain locations, so you got to work fast. Rosalina will help you if you land on certain Green Spaces, and she can whisk you closer to the Star. However, a Green Space might send you down a warp pipe to another planet further or closer to the Star as well. You can even be taken by a Sling Star to a bonus coin planet!
Unlockable Character
Luma
Interactive Pieces:
Sling Star- "These beauties can launch you just about anywhere in the galaxy. Commutes in space must be really easy."
Star Bit- "Treats well-loved by the Lumas. Ugh..Why do I want more candy?"
Rosalina- "The Protector of the Lumas twice helped the Mario Bros. save their 'special one'. Tee hee hee!"
Lakitu's Beachside Metropolis: The hustle and bustle of the city only leads to the beach, here! If you want a star, you're going to have to get water from the sea and bring it back to Lakitu at start. It may sound easy, but cars can block certain paths from time to time, or some Green Spaces can send you up an elevator to an entirely different path atop the buildings! Even still, you can do it! Collecting coins and landing on certain Green Spaces may grant you a taxi ride to the bus stop by the beach! Once you reach the beach, you have only a couple spaces left, but you have to hope for a four or higher, or else you're kicked off the beach for loitering and you'd have to go back to the boardwalk and try and get a four or higher. Going back isn't easy either, while it may seem easy getting off the beach, the same challenges you've hit before reach you again! The city may seem cool at first.
Unlockable Character
Shy Guy
Interactive Pieces:
Lakitu- "Sometimes bad, sometimes good; one thing for sure is that he's quite the mogul!"
Taxi- "This can take you to the beach and a star with no fee! How generous!"
Boardwalk- "People come from all over just to walk on it. Good thing it's so popular: it's the most expensive and elaborate one I've seen!"
Sorbet Snowlands: Here in the ice cold fjords is another board. Play as you will, but it's different from the rest. Here, you and the others race toward Mr. Chills, a large old snowman who's very grumpy. However, if you reach him first, you get a star! When this happens, all players are forced back to start and the game continues in turn order. It's not as easy as to just "get there", however. First, after leaving the cabins, you have to cross the icy lake, with a grid of Green Spaces along it. Some will crack under your weight, and you'll have to start the ice lake all over again, however, some won't. After that, you must sneak around the cave of the Abominable Snow Spike, and if you stop on a Green Space around there... he'll steal a lot of coins from you! Continue on, and you are pretty much at the home stretch to Mr. Chills's house all the way up Frostbite hill. You better hope you get a 4, 5, or 6, or you'll snowball down to the foot of the hill. Try not to get frostbite as you trudge through the shivers of this terrible taiga.
Unlockable Character
Boo
Interactive Pieces:
Ice Lake- "Here, it can LITERALLY crack under pressure, so watch your step."
Abominable Cavern- "A large Snow Spike reside in here, and he's got a big temper! I don't suggest bumping into him if you want to stay safe."
Mr. Chills- "Despite being such a grump, he's actually a nice guy. He makes the best hot cocoa around, but he can't drink it... cause, well, he'll melt."
Bowser's Stormy Fortress: Winning all five boards calls for celebration! Until Bowser steals the Party Medal and runs back to his Fortress. Now, you have to go retrieve it. But Bowser wants in on the fun, and has created his own devilishly board in his own Fortress! If you go on enough Bowser Spaces (4) MAYBE Bowser will give you it, IF you have a random fee he puts out. The Green Spaces are nothing but trouble, with Bullet Bills sending you back, Hammer Bros. that knock out three coins from you, and Magikoopas that warp you to somewhere on the board. You have to go shimmy across thin paths with rain beating down on you, tons of split paths, and lava EVERYWHERE! Maybe through all that trouble, you can try and please Bowser… or maybe you'll have to take it by force.
Interactive Pieces:
Mini Castle- "Bowser's Castle, in the rain? Whaaat?"
Bill Blaster- "A weapon capable of firing Bullets strong enough to break bricks, yet weak enough to be crushed by a boot. How weird?"
Bowser- "This jerk has caused trouble countless times! He even stole the Party Medal!"
BOSSES
Bosses work differently than Mario Party 9. In the middle of the game, your "Mid-Boss" will challenge you. And at the end, the actual Boss will battle you. If the winner of that board loses first to the actual boss, they are deducted 15 coins in their "Bonus Stars" rank

MODES
Story Mode: Play through all the boards!
Party Mode: Play any board with any amount of players (1-4)
Minigame Mode: In this mode you can play mini games you have unlocked
Duke-it-Out: This mode is just a set amount of mini games played one by one, whoever wins the most is the Champion!
Friends and Foes: In this mode, win mini games to collect coins, whoever has the most coins, wins! But it's not that easy! Here let me explain. This mode MUST be played with 5 players. Each turn, someone switches to the Gamepad and can punish or help a player each turn. You can't just gang up on one person, though, as you can only punish or help once three turns have passed since their last time. You can punish by, taking away 5 coins or making them lose a turn. You can help by giving them five coins or letting them choose the next minigame. You MUST help or punish a player, though, you cannot skip your turn.
King of the Bill: Four players are lined up on identical paths. Whoever wins a mini game, moves up a space. If you get past all six spaces, you can sit on the Bill Blaster throne. However, if someone else reaches there, you get sent to the third space on your six-space path and THEY get to sit on there. Whoever is on the throne when the turns run out is the winner!
MINIGAMES
Free-for-all:
Packaging Pandemonium- Players need to run around a toy store collecting presents for Blue Toad, but think clearly, as the presents are ranked: Candy(1 pt.), Mushroom(2 pts.), Coloring Book( 3 pts.), and panda dolls( 4 pts.) You can store up to four items in one bag. However, the exact ratio will be random. Also, avoid the Koopa Kid plushies, as he will reject your entire sack if you have one, forcing you to throw out everything and risk them being stolen. The game ends after sixty seconds, or if all 36 good items are turned in to Blue Toad.
So Much Bet-ter!- This game exclusively uses the Gamepad. Player 1 will start and has three seconds on the clock, they place their token in one of four squares which are Mushroom, Flower, Leaf, and Star. Then, when he bets or if time runs out (if that happens, his/her token would be placed randomly) a bubble with block the way and it would say "Switch to _____ (This would be the character they use) and let them press OK." Then, it would continue until all four players have placed their bets. Only two players can place their bets on a square at one time. One square is chosen randomly, and if a player bet on it, they are out. This continues until a player wins.
1 vs. 3:
Turning the Peels- A single player will use the gamepad while the others are on the Wii Remotes. Said Gamepad player will block the others running through an orchard with giant oranges! However, you can't entirely block the path and you only get 7 oranges. The players win if at least one can cross the finish line, and the Gamepad person wins if all others are eliminated.
Chugga-choose- All players will hold their Wiimote horizontally (like how you play Super Paper Mario) to play. One will be selected to be the train man. He/she who controls the train can select up, left, right, or down, then the others must run to a side. Your train will charge at the direction chosen, flattening anyone there. The other players move automatically, they just have to choose a side. If no one is left, the train conductor wins. If at least one is left, the players win!
2 vs. 2:
Train and Gain- The players will be separated into groups of two, each one on one side of an old-fashioned hand car. There's 120 seconds on the clock to reach the train further up the tracks. Now, one person will lift at the same time someone lowers their Wiimote. Then vice versa, and so on, and so forth. But you better stay in sync, or you'll brake instead of moving. It's a simple but challenging game.
Duel:
A-maze-ing Fun- Two select players have control over a (joystick? I forgot what those little knobs are) on the Gamepad each. The view is split so one player can see their player and another can see theirs. The two most get to the center of the maze, and whoever makes it first, wins! But, you can't see the entire maze on the Gamepad but it IS pictured on the TV. However, it doesn't show your player, so you're going to have to try and figure it out or trust you gut to win!
Trick Draw- Two select players will have Wiimotes and face away from the television set. The Wiimotes will both say an enemy's name that is in the 4x4 square consisting of baddies from the series and count down from 5. When the countdown is over, turn around! It can tell if you are cheating, as the Wiimote detects movement and the Sensor Bar can also tell, so don't try to turn around early! Whoever gets the enemy first by pointing at it and pressing A, wins. The target enemy only appears once on the board, while others can repeat. These are the enemies that could appear:
-Goomba
-Koopa
-Thwomp
-Chomp
-Spiny
-Piranha Plant
-Pokey
-Cooligan
-Hammer Brother
-Waddlewing
Battle:
Rumbling Reflexes- Four characters stand around a central circle, covered by a tent, which can cover one of six things: stones shaped like the numbers 1-5, or a Bob-omb. Players must wait for the tent to go up then quickly thrust the Wii Remote forward towards the object, unless it's the bomb, doing so will cause him/her to lose their lowest valued number stone, which is thrown back into the rotation, and anyone caught trying to get it to lose the next turn. The game ends(I know what you're thinking; To avoid a potentially endless round, there can only be two bob-ombs per match) when all values are claimed, but that doesn't stop the occasional tie-breaker.
Skywood Sword- Players are given katanas which must stab through falling blocks of wood. This time around, percision and focus are the keys, as striking closer to the center of each block will pay off more and more as they begin to stack up like a kebab. Players must also hold the Wiimote upward and keep it as still as possible. As things get more tense, your character starts to tremble. If either/both of these goals are failed too much, you will lose. However, your character is able to drop the sword and step out of the way in time and they just stand behind their work in shame. Soon after, the structure disappears so the character can be seen. Last one able take the pressure wins!
Bowser Jr.:
Baddie Beams- Two players team up using two electric beams to try and zap Bowser Jr. One controls the vertical beam and the other controls the horizontal one. You're going to have to be strategic, for he can jump over them. Hit Bowser Jr. twice and the two of you win!
Bosses:
Rosalina's Cosmos Journey: Megaleg
(I'm sorry, I didn't like the idea as it was very confusing. I shall try and use yours as best I can but it's a little too complicated for a mini game)
The players must try to launch bob-ombs at his legs, by tilting the Wii Remotes and shaking it to launch. Move with the Control Pad, of course, to switch between launchers and multiple players can be on one. If this happens, the second player will have to wait behind the first one until the guy up front at the launcher has thrown, then the two will switch. However, each time he's hit, he'll slam down on top of one of the launchers, crushing anyone under it. Hit him three times and he's finished!

Sorbet Snowlands- The only sign of life here is Mr. Chills, and he's not the best dude to make conversation with. It's icy cold out here, so don't stay too long!

Minigame Star- Winning the most mini games
Wander Star- Travelling the most spaces
Shooting Star- Using the most items
Shopper's Star- Buying the most items
I guess that's it! I hope you liked it.
I feel the scores are biased. I don't know how Yellow won, and Red team didn't.
You added Yellow Team's score wrong. Honey, the got 46 pts not 47
Also, what does other details mean?
Purple didn't even make those spaces yet gotten a perfect score for them...
They EVEN took them from 3rd party. Some didn't even make spaces, just description. I don't see how that's 5/5. At most it should be 4/5

I never said you got marked for creating spaces. I like the space ideas.

Feel free to bash me lol.
The only reason I think we won was because of how far our creativity led us to and how deep we delved into the game. Creating prices for items, bonus stars, interactive pieces with boards, a creative story hinting at the real world... Perhaps it was the little things.
That is very bias. I don't even see how they won. Favortism to the maximum
