I never played the Mystery Dungeon games before, so I don't know if I will consider this. But this is for the 3DS, and the 3D models would probably look great this time.

Yes! Another Mystery Dungeon! Too bad I don't have a 3DS, but if I get one... I think I am going to get this game.

I had one of the GBA games and it was alright, so if this game ever came here I would probably buy it.

You didn't have to in the other ones, so I really hope not.

But, hey another 3DS game I may want but can't get yet, huzzah! Interesting how they're using 3D models now.

I might have this on my list as well, but we're still kind of far from the North American release.

I don't see Victini in the trailer, but oh well. Least there is Snivy. Glad to see that trailer really caught your attention, DJ Swangler!

Some additional details:

- take pictures of circular objects
- use this to locate the Magnagates
- this will grant you access to special dungeons
- take anything you’ve earned in the special dungeons and use it in the main game

If I didn't double post and instead edit, you guys wouldn't have seen this.

So that's what the circles are for, special dungeons that you can find new stuff in. I wonder if there're any new things in these dungeons that you can't get normal game, like Pokemon rather than items.
Title: Re: Pokémon: Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate And The Infinite Labyrinth
Post by: Vipsoccermaster on September 21, 2012
Even more details:

- may be the same character models as Pokedex 3D
- retains the rogue-like genre of previous installments
- you are somehow transformed into a Pokémon and suddenly wake up in a world full of Pokémon
- play as Pikachu, Axew, Snivy, Oshawott, and Tepig
- Magna Gates are activated using the 3DS camera
- point the 3DS camera at a round object and the gate will open
- dungeons are randomly generated and will be different every time you enter
- befriend Pokémon in the dungeons,
- dungeons will still be filled with items, puzzles, and traps
- expect a more dramatic story
- Pokémon from Black/White 2 will be included

Source (http://gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=186156)

Nice to see Snivy playable! It's also good to hear that Pikachu is not the only playable character, too.

And same models from Pokedex 3D, wow.

Most of the details are the same as the older installments, still the Pokedex 3D models are getting used, so that's actually quite nice.

- forget and/or remember various moves
- Azumarill runs the noticeboard where all the missions are given

Title: Re: Pokémon: Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate And The Infinite Labyrinth
Post by: Vipsoccermaster on October 15, 2012
Yeah, but believe it or not, there's even more news and screens. They just keep on coming.

Quote from: Go Nintendo
- taking pictures of any round object will let you enter the Magnagate portal
- each dungeon is different when you enter
- you can encounter Lugia or Houhou in these dungeons
- Pokemon Paradise involves cultivating the ravaged land and building various facilities
- The town can be developed in anyway you'd like
- Materials are necessary in order to cultivate the land
- complete tasks in dungeons to get these materials
- facilities can also rank up
- facilities include Nuo's Management (Pokemon management, pick your Pokemon partner from here), Zuruggu's Wazaggu (learn or forget Pokemon skills here), Mariruri's Job Bulletin Board (accept jobs here, such as warranties on Pokemon or saving Pokemon), and V Roulette
- V Roulette lets you change the daily V Wave
- V Wave is a mysterious wind that blows in the Pokemon world
- different types of V Waves
- advantageous to adventure with the same type of Pokemon as the day's V Wave
- Pokemon partners have "heart waves" that you'll acquire as you progress in a dungeon
- heart waves let you do special attacks with everyone
- attacking with everyone damages all surrounding enemy Pokemon and also recovers HP corresponding to the protagonist Pokemon's type
- collect heart waves again when you use this move to use it again
- Skills can also rank up if you use them often
- this will increase a skill's power, accuracy, or PP
- example: ranking up Lightning II to Lightning III
- once a skill has been ranked up, your other Pokemon can use that skill with the same ranked up effect
- Team skills can also be found in dungeons
- Some of these include making it more difficult to step on traps, or showing the amount of items contained in a dungeon

Whatever the case, I would prefer the retail version.

It's still some months away from here in North America, although it's nice to know the date! Seriously, this game looks really awesome, with the screens and the videos that have been showed on the topic here. I also like the title. And since I own and played all the Mystery Dungeons up to date, I really want it... I really can't wait to experience this for myself on my 3DS, it's a huge graphic improvement and a lot more details that have been added compared to the last game, really. I'm excited enough...

I'm really mad now because I named my partner Toadette (the main character was named after my real name), but apparently it's Male and the game never informed me.
So I'm stuck with a Male Axew named Toadette.

Title: Re: Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates To Infinity
Post by: Sax on March 08, 2013
I finished the demo and to be honest I wasn't impressed with it. For those that haven't played the first 3 games it starts pretty much the same way minus the quiz thingy. I felt there was too much dialogue for just the beginning and hardly any playtime but then again it was just a demo.

As far as the mystery dungeons are, I hate the camera angle. I feel I can hardly see anything compared to previous games and the map isn't scribbled on the screen but I can do without that. The B-Dash is a little hard to control. I appreciate the attack interface by holding down L and the battles seem quicker and of better quality.

The one thing I appreciate the most though are the characters models. I don't know how many of you picked Snivy but the way she runs is spot on. I will have to check Oshawott and Tepig but the models are way improved. My last complaint though is the lack of a guild so far. That was one of my favorite parts of the game and its sad to not see another quirky character as the guildmaster.

I will still buy it though. I JUST WANTED TO BUILD MY HOUSE!

Yeah, this game is a spin-off title, but the games you mentioned are mainstream titles. Be sure to get Black 2 soon enough, since I know a lot of people will put in many hours into Pokémon X/Y.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity 'Not Quite a Review' Discussion (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzNIXwaFypk#ws)
EDIT: Press Release:

Quote from: Press Release
REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- For years, players have enjoyed exploring the Pokémon-filled worlds of the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. With Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, launching March 24 exclusively for Nintendo 3DS, the series has evolved. In addition to becoming a Pokémon and exploring Mystery Dungeons, players can now build their own Pokémon Paradise, discover Magnagates that can be unlocked using the Nintendo 3DS camera, participate in a new cooperative multiplayer mode and even purchase additional content to expand the Pokémon experience.

“The Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games give Pokémon fans new ways to enjoy their favorite characters,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity is the first entry in the series on Nintendo 3DS, with features that just aren’t possible on any other system.”

Players can choose to go on their adventure as one of five fan-favorite Pokémon: Pikachu, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott or Axew. Many of the Pokémon that populate the game are from the Unova region, the region featured in the Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version games. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity features more than 20 distinct Mystery Dungeons that change every time they are entered, granting players and their Pokémon a near-infinite amount of adventurous possibilities. When not exploring Mystery Dungeons, players can interact with other Pokémon and build their own Pokémon Paradise with various shops and facilities.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity takes advantage of many of the unique features of the Nintendo 3DS hand-held system. Players will instantly be drawn into the 3D visuals that pop with vibrant colors and polished design. Using the Nintendo 3DS camera, players can scan circular objects in the real world to unlock Magnagates, special portals that lead to additional Mystery Dungeons. When tagging another Nintendo 3DS system using StreetPass, players can revive other players’ fallen Pokémon and receive rewards for their virtual generosity. And for the first time in the series, players can team up with others via a local wireless connection to explore special Mystery Dungeons with up to three other players in cooperative Companion Mode. All experience and treasure earned in this local-multiplayer mode are carried over to the main single-player game.

Starting this Sunday, players can also purchase additional content for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. The downloadable content includes new Mystery Dungeons to explore, new items to collect and new Pokémon to interact with. As a special treat for fans, the first dungeon, the Poké Forest Mystery Dungeon, will be free to download beginning launch day through April 30. Three additional downloadable Mystery Dungeons will also be available to purchase at launch, with more dungeons available regularly throughout April. A downloadable demo version of the game is currently available in the Nintendo eShop.

Nintendo is also offering a special bonus for people who buy both a Nintendo 3DS XL system and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. Anyone who registers a Nintendo 3DS XL system and either Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity or Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon with Club Nintendo between March 21 and April 30 will receive a code to download one of five Nintendo 3DS games for free: Super Mario 3D Land, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone!, Star Fox 64 3D or Freakyforms Deluxe: Your Creations, Alive!

For more information about Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, visit http://www.pokemon.com/MysteryDungeon. (http://www.pokemon.com/MysteryDungeon.)

Remember that Nintendo 3DS features parental controls that let adults manage the content their children can access. For more information about this and other features, visit http://www.nintendo.com/3ds. (http://www.nintendo.com/3ds.)
