Description: PLEASE REGISTER AND LEAVE A COMMENT OR REVIEW IF YOU DOWNLOAD THE BOARD!!! Let's try to breathe life into this dying community!
It's been a busy couple of weeks, but it's finally finished! A lot of hard work, late nights, and extensive partying--that is, testing, went into this one. Board layout is pretty conventional, but with a fun little gimmick being the skeleton key doors in the center. The player travels around the islands in a clockwise direction (following the arrows on the path; there is no returning once you cross a bridge). However, from the central island, the player can choose to use a skeleton key to jump to the other half of the island, effectively skipping two of the islands. This makes skeleton keys quite coveted in this board. For a better idea, check out the images. Happening spaces cause Plessie to rise out of the water and carry the player to any other player's location for 10 coins (the player gets to decide if they want to or not). I tried not to add too many happening spaces since they don't do anything at the moment,
and I can always add more in the event that they ever come to life.
I really hope everyone enjoys it. I've been looking forward to the video review panel ever since I started this project last monday (I discovered it a bit late). I put plenty of references, details and references, so I hope it's a good time.  :D
(This board is for the Mario Party board contest #2.
Disclaimer: I got most, if not all, of the decorative models used in overtop of the board I sculpted from Sketchup's 3D Warehouse. I did, however, do a bit of texture work (not too much) and arranged all of the models into their current layout.

Changelog:
V1.1-
-Greatly improved space positioning
-Overhauled the full scene background (It's now far closer to the game's perspective and has some festive flair along with general polish and improvement)
-Overhauled the board select image to the one shown in the screenshot
-General polish and small improvements
V1.2-
-Very minor improvements to space positioning
-Modifications to space distribution attempting to fix the more major flaws pointed out by SpiderStaryu and SuperZambezi during judging:
-moved the star space on the top half of the island to be directly behind the left skeleton-key door
-moved an item space on the first island (bottom-right) to a position where it can be landed on without looping the island
-added an item space on the first island (to create more opportunities to get skeleton keys early in the game)
-added an item space on the Ice Cream Island (top-left) to help satisfy Staryu's unfortunate item addiction
These changes will hopefully fix the board's flaws while still keeping my original design fully intact. However, it was too difficult for me to add more stars to the central island without making two stars unreasonably close to one another (in order to prevent someone from getting two stars in a row with relative ease). If there are any other complaints or tweaks you think I should make, please comment and rate the board! I'm aiming for a perfect 50/50 if possible!
V1.3-
-Moved the Millennium star so that the player no longer clips through him when purchasing a star. Only lightly tested, so please let me know if there are any problems. I will test more extensively later.

The contest review pretty much stated every positive thing I had to say about the design of this board. I love it!

Will you be updating it in the future with custom events? You seem to have an idea of what the events should be in green text in your description. I guess you made this before custom events were possible?

Thank you so much for trying it out and giving me feedback! The kind words are highly encouraging. I have a specific vision for a board I hope to realize at some point when my skills are more developed, but it will take time that I don't have at the moment.

This is a perfect example of how to make a good Mario Party board, not only with the design, but with the attention to detail which is something some custom boards don't have. I hope you make another board soon! Loved it! :-D
