If both players got the same Stars, and Coins, do they do a dice off, or they both win?

P.S. In Story Mode on Mario Party DS IF both players have Stars, and Coins do You face the boss, or try again?

I'm pretty sure it'll be determined by dice roll. If you get the higher roll, you win. If not, then you try again.

I've only seen it happen once before though I've come really close to getting it.

And yeah it'll prob be the dice roll I don't see why they'd change it in 8.

I think I remember it happening it to me once, but I can't recall which Mario Party, but I believe it's probably Mario Party.

The one time it happened to me it was yeeeaarrrrs ago at Space Land in Mario Party 2 somehow at the end of 50 turns Wario and Luigi tied for 2nd (I won of course ) and I don't remember the exact dialogue dice blocks just appeared over them and they rolled.

I've been in a couple of roll offs before, but never for the win. Usually for third place!

I've seen 3rd place tie before on MPDS, and they just rolled a dice block to see who would get 3rd and 4th place.

I've seen a four player dice roll for 1st before (Me included, I came 2nd)

It happened once to me, I was Mini Bowser and my aunt was Daisy (Mario Party 5.)
We both had the same numer of stars and coins. we were both first place so we had to roll a dice.
Guess what I rolled... I rolled 5... my aunt 6 -.-

It happened to me a few time on MP3 on story mode. Usually occurs because of bonus stars.

Well, being tie is a rare coincidence, I think that happens to me long ago, but I can't remember when because it's too far away...!

This actually happened to me twice. Once on MP8, and once on MPDS. Both times it was for the win. It is a dice roll, highest roll wins the game. It's harsh if one person is ahead the whole game, but something happens on the last turn (i.e. MPDS Bowser Space "Gimme Equality") and you tie and lose the roll-off, you lose a game you led the whole time.
