Wrap-Up! (Chilly Challenges)

So, our event, Chilly Challenges, is already coming to an end. I would like to say thanks to everyone for participating in our event, it was greatly appreciated. I probably haven't got the best moments because of how upset I had been during the month, with how I had major difficulties throught the month and the year in general, but it was really interesting to have host an activity like this again, but in cooperation with CirnotheStron9est this time. Don't worry about what I said earlier in the month, Cirno, you did an awesome work, you were an aweosme partner and you had some interesting ideas, even though they weren't appealing to everyone, you did what you could, and I did appreciate the events you did and all the cooperation we did together.

I understand if there was a few little things here and there, but don't worry, it does happen to everyone and I perfectly understand that. I was just upset and when I am, I sometimes say things that I should not, so I should thank you for supporting all the wrong moments I had, as well as everyone else on here. I still did the activity noneteless, stayed strong, for all of you, the Mario Party Legacy community, because I like you guys and I think I did really find my place on here.

So basically, we're stucked with two winners, Luignfan3DSGCN (which was the case since the beginning) and surprisingly Vipsoccermaster which just tied with her. So with two winners announced, I will have to do a seperate prize, we could discuss about what, but I'm not exactly sure as of what I could give you, but it will be something quite simple that a good friend can do.

Also, I must say an apologise to everyone with the way I react during the month, there was a few moments where I was nervous and wasn't relaxing enough, I haven't had enough sleep and all of that, I focus a lot of the activity, way more that I should have, I gave what I could to Mario Party Legacy to ensure you have had an awesome time. For the beginning of the year, I might not priorise my forum activity as much when I'm feeling this way. I'm always tired, out of myself, but I did something which I consider awesome with my partner right there.

Also, a huge thanks to SuperZambezi and his staff for having made all of this possible for us, I did really appreciate helping out with something like this (and even, I did those sort of events twice!) We did help you a lot, aren't we? I really hope that 2014 will be an even better year for Mario Party Legacy Forum and it will be with me on it's sides, for sure, the members on here seems really convincing.

And of course, to finish this, I will simply ask your opinion about the event. We accept all critics, good or bad, it will help each of us in the future. Also, I think it would be a good idea if my partner could also give his opinion, I would definitely appreciate to see your point of view.

I had a lot of fun, but it was also a lot of work, especially those challenges where something was uploaded; I'm exhausted and not satisfied with myself, but they paid off. As for a prize, I'm not sure what exactly to pick out since my home address is not being compromised, which basically cans any physical gifts. I really want some Club Nintendo Coins right now if that's something.

I felt like this activity was extremely lackluster. To put it simply: It was un-organized, these weren't really "challenges", and the point system was horrible. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, you guys put a lot of effort into it, but honestly this thing was a sinking ship.

The point system was incredibly horrible. The only reason people like Luigifan even won was cuz she did every activity. If you did not have her perfect attendance, you had no chance to win from the start. Maxime can say all he wants that "it's the same points just divisible by 1", I don't think so. There's a big difference between "3, 2, 1" and "20, 10, 5". Most of the challenges that even gave out big points were very uncommon, so it was near impossible to get an edge over anyone in the lead. That's why, at least for me, I didn't bother competing anymore, because there's no point in playing anymore when you know you lost, and the game is structured so you can't catch up.

Also, another thing is the activities. I know there might not of been that much time to think up activities, but goodness... these were just not good at all. Very few of them were alright. Most of them were just the same exact activities from Spring Fever, or they were just simple goals, like "Express thoughts about a member", or "Express about Christmas". These aren't challenges... if they were an extra objective, they'd be great, but these were not even challenges. These were goals. So there was no real desire to play when most of the challenges were just simple "tell me this and you win".

Jinx you did alright as a host. Maxime did alright as well. I think you two did alright as hosts, but Maxime, next time (if there even is a next time), leave your personal issues out of it. You did the same thing on Spring Fever, and let me just tell you, it gets very irritating when someone keeps complaining about how "oh I'm so busy", "I don't even feel like doing this", "This is so out of the way, I'm only doing it for the forum..." etc. Like I don't know what you're trying to achieve by just acting like "OH THIS IS OUT OF THE WAY", if it's out of the way, don't do it. Don't do another activity like this, because if it's such a problem, then you shouldn't even be doing it. You should of quit as host then, the whining was ridiculous, it's like you wanted some sympathy for it. You agreed to do it, it's not no one's fault but your own. You shouldn't act that way again if there is an again, cuz it makes people get annoyed with you. And those comments to Jinx were wrong, and I hope you did apologize to him, because Jinx did alright to me and he tried his best.

Overall, this activity was alright. You know I'll give credit, where credit's due. It did interest some people, some people liked it and enjoyed themselves, and that's a great thing you guys were able to provide that. However, there is much to be desired. Not to throw him on the spot, but I would love to see Sol (AbsolPowers) host the next event, because a lot of his Christmas events in his blog were very creative and great, so I think he should be next for that.

And yeah, that's the end of my rant. I'm sorry if it sounds mean, that wasn't my intention, it's just with this activity there was so much wrong with it imo, and it wouldn't do me any well to just lie and say "IT WAS SUPERB" because my honest opinion is, it wasn't. But regardless, I guess I'll just end it with saying thanks Maxime and Jinx for trying at least, and um... yeah. That's about it.

It was fun but the point system could have been better to give others a shot other than the 1, 2, and 3 chillies it should have been larger intervals so I just didn't do it as much when I couldn't compete as much.

I'll be honest, but I somehow thought the same, really. I'm not completely pround of the activity right there, I know it could have been way better and I'm sorry about that, I can't even compare this from Spring Fever, which, in my humble opinion, was way better. It was easier alone, in my opinion.

Yeah, I give you a point right there. But I personally think that my system wasn't much horrible, it was probably just because there wasn't enough variation with the points (Or Chillies) and that a few more could have been done. But yeah, definitely something I should consider about now.

As far as I know, I know Jinx have took a lot of my previous ideas and put them as a challenge, bascially copying me over and over with a few from the last events. I tried to do new ones but once again, the lack of good ideas was there.

I think that when I was starting to feel this way, I should have take the initiative to leave for a few days, event or not, I think (it's always what I do). The best I should have do would have been probably to let someone to help me out during the time I was away. Also, you can't always expcet wonders when you're facing someone which is 20 (almost 21) to be able to contribute like this all the time.

I did this event with Jinx and Spring Fever by myself for personnal fun and with intention to interact with others. Also, I seriously don't want to quit. Why? Because I know I'm trying to improve. I take critics by critics and trying to see what I can do to be better, it's a thing I cared to do and I know I should not come when I feel wrong, just to relax and all of that, taking a break when I feel like this was obviously the best thing to do, but I haven't listen to my own self, I should have and I'm really sorry for all of those stupidities.

And if it would been of SuperZambezi, let me say one thing, he would have done the same exact thing, maybe even worse, so at least, be pround of that. Also, I'm not completely guarenteed to have time to do one again, but I'd rather prefer not being put out, and yeah, I'm doing it because I like the community in general and care about the forum activity, even if it was a fail at some cases.

I know it wasn't really the best thing (I know it is not for you and I'm sorry.) I know there's place for amelioration, as I always say, but always nice to see you 'at least' appreciate our efforts. Don't worry, a few of your things, I'll definitely take those into consideration if it does happen again one day, but I know SuperZambezi like when I do those kind of events and likes to see me in action, no wonder why he asked myself again to begin with and as far as I know, we still haven't deceived him. He would have done the same, near that.

And yeah, that's the end of my rant. I'm sorry if it sounds mean, that wasn't my intention, it's just with this activity there was so much wrong with it imo, and it wouldn't do me any well to just lie and say "IT WAS SUPERB" because my honest opinion is, it wasn't. But regardless, I guess I'll just end it with saying thanks Maxime and Jinx for trying at least, and um... yeah. That's about it.

I respect your opinion, I think the same too, wasn't really satisfied of the overall work, but as long as some people did liked it... and yeah, at least, yours is not much 'shocking', done with respect and without offending, you have been precise in all your points and I will definitely take your points into consideration, because remember, nobody is perfect! Sorry about the bad event. We did our best, couldn't do so well, and there's that.

When you told things on the shoutbox about those sort of things when I was feeling wrong over and over, I found them really hard to accept and embarassing. I know I did a bunch of mistakes, but just to put that way like it would not have happenned would be the best thing instead of continuing with this, I found that to be pretty much annoying because of how it was just because of my feelings I had that day.

I know I did a bunch of mistakes, but just to put that way like it would not have happenned would be the best thing instead of continuing with this, I found that to be pretty much annoying because of how it was just because of my feelings I had that day.

1. You said you accept insults (Oh yes you did)
2. To contradict 1, those weren't insult those were facts taken from evidence
3. I am not here to baby you, you're 20 not 2. Start taking some responsibility, not when you want some remorse
4. I was being honest and nowhere near rude. I even condensed most of what I wanted to say because truth be told, what I had to say was going to be uncanny and rude and I did not want to diminish your spirit/soul so I did not say those hurtful words
5. You made those mistakes, TAKE responsibility (Like 3)
6. Your mistakes, if you find them annoying, that's a personal problem. That is not my problem

Back to the topic at hand

There were many errors and I will like a better event with a more organized structure because I felt like some things were unorganized and the communication between said subjects were disarrayed in such a way that it was illuminated and exemplified throughout the challenges (Not all challenges though). There were some challenges which weren't even challenges and there were some challenges that hit me in a good way.

4. For those points though I understand that you have been honest. It's just with the feelings thing now.

I know we tried to organise ourselves with specific PMs or topics (secret). We haven't cooperate for everything. We cooperate for like, only a few. For the rest, we mostly did each other our things. Always cooperating together would have been really long for each of us and difficult I know some challenges wasn't good, sorry, I know we can't please everyone but at least, we tried.
