Impa and Vip, how thick can you possibly be? Do you really think that muting my entire computer is the best option? Did you not consider that I might be doing something else, like watching a YouTube video, playing a game, or even listening to my own music? According to other people in this topic, they listen to their own music too, so its not uncommon.

How about we add an option in account settings to ignore the music in profiles? Or we could do it the way I suggested in the original post. I'd also be fine with just doing away with it all.

Well geez, if it's THAT much of a problem to just pause your music/video/whatever for 10 minutes...

I mean, I'm fine that you made a suggestion and I would actually agree that a pause button could be more convinient for most of us, but no need to be so upset, I just made a suggestion myself. (BTW It's Robin, not Impa lol)

What makes this hypocritical though, is you have music on your OWN profile, too. Which, I'm sure others who find profile music annoying, will say so.

Though, I can definitely see why others find it annoying, especially when you're watching/listening to something else. I'll talk with the other staff members, and we'll see if there's a way to pause it. If not, if it's okay with everyone, we can just remove them all together. I have profile music as well, but mine is not loud at the start.

All you really need to not have an impossible to control background music is to give the height and width of the youtube player nonzero values

I personally use height="315" width="560"

Wow, this is actually very useful. Thank you HJ!

I just did it on my profile, so if you visit my profile, you can just pause the music/video. I suggest everyone who has music on their profile to do the same, just so people won't be annoyed or surprised by the loud music. Hopefully people are okay with things like this.

It's a good thing actually. Though, like I said in my original post, profile music is not a huge deal. Just ignore the profiles unless you really need to check an info lmao, not that complicated.

I can understand if you're a veteran and know the person, but I'm a newb. So if I want to send someone a PM or look up who they are I shouldn't be subject to blaring music. X3

Although I do like TSL's idea and I tried it on mine as a test. It works!
