Is there port priority in Mario Party?
« on: December 24, 2016 »
While playing Mario Party 7, this happened.

The quality isn't excatly great, but Yoshi and Birdo were tied with Mario and Luigi in number of stars and coins. And yet Yoshi was second while Mario was third.

I'm fairly certain it sorts the characters by turn order.
Ancient trash.

What is your question specifically...?

That's what I meant by port priority.

That even though Yoshi and Birdo were tied in coins and stars with Mario and Luigi, Yoshi was ranked second and Mario was ranked third.

If both teams were ranked second, I wouldn't call that port priority.

What is your question specifically...?

If two players/teams are tied in number of stars and coins, are both players ranked differently based on turn order?

That should not be the case
They should roll a die to determine who wins the tie

What if the tie wasn't for first place?
