The new 3DS looks very good, but... I hope there aren't many games for this model of the 3DS cause I'm not planning to buy another 3DS soon.

I don't think there would be. Probably similar to what Nintendo offered for previous models in previous generations, like the Nintendo DSi.

Remind me if Ambassador titles can be system transferred.

I might consider getting one of these, if only so I can play things like MGS3D. :p

Ugh, those Start and Select button positions.

Marth is not amused.

I believe you can transfer to the New Nintendo 3DS/XL. But I don't think you can transfer content from New Nintendo 3DS/XL back to the original models.

You know, I'm REALLY glad I found out about this because I was totally gonna buy a 3DS this week. I would have been mad. I'll hold out for this new one. I just knew they'd release some sort of a "3DS Lite."

I also like the throwback to the SNES controller buttons. The new analog stick or whatever seems pointless right now, but I'm sure they'll use it for something.

C-stick functionality. Don't forget they're adding an extra shoulder button on each side as well (does that make them ZL/ZR or L/R???)

The normal shoulder buttons are L/R. The extra shoulder buttons next to them are ZL/ZR.

Some details about internet browser, what you will find in box/unit, camera features, and other features...

Quote from: GoNintendo
Internet browser

- switch tabs with the ZL and ZR buttons
- use c-stick to zoom in on the page

Camera functions

- uses the inner-camera to keep 3D viewing stable by tracking face position
- this feature doesn't support some software which utilizes the inner camera
- if you have accessories on your head or face, the feature may not work properly
- if there is strong direct light entering the camera, the feature may not work properly
- contains an infrared LED lamp used for 3D stabilization in dark places.
- take better pictures in dark places

Box pack-ins and unit features

- 4GB microSDHC card
- no AC adapter
- "strap hook" close to the ZR button
- supports the same wireless security protocols as earlier models
Source

Don't fret about no AC adapter, this is for Japan for now.

The New Nintendo 3DS/XL will be region-locked. No surprise there, Nintendo has always done this.

Here is the new trailer introducing the New Nintendo 3DS/XL. The system will launch on Friday, February 13, 2015 for both North America and Europe. For North America, only the New Nintendo 3DS XL will be released. This means that you will not be able to find the New Nintendo 3DS anywhere, nor the customizable face plates. The system will retail for $199.99.
