Just saying, offensive items are items that get you into the lead the best, such as Stars and Mushrooms. Besides Stars, Triple Red Shells are a really good defensive item. Also, were you here at MPL when we did the Super Mario Survivor 7: Worst Mario Kart Item?

It does work in MK8; it makes you have less traction (less control)

glad they actually made it useful then lol

i remember it from ds/wii where it would just block your screen for a few seconds. you'd still be able to navigate through looking at the sides (or the mini map in ds).
