Do you think 20 coins for 1 star is a fair trade?

I think it is the best idea that the developers made. In most boards in the Mario Party series, the option for the Star is available, however in some boards, there may be a price change to 5, 10, 30 or 40 coins. Do you think that 20 coins is cheap or expensive? Discuss!

Well most of us say that 20 is good because it is universal... I find 20 coins to be fair. 5 coins was stupendously cheap, 10 was cheap, 30 was a little bit iffy and 40 coins was ridiculous. I think 20 coins is good enough. I don't have a problem with 20 coins. 20 coins is good for the pockets and it's at a price that is suitable for all players.

20 coins are fair to me. 5-10 is very cheap, while 30-40 is ridiculous.

It's fair, and, like DB said, it's the one we're all use to having.

If it wasn't - you'd think Nintendo would have changed the natural amount for the GCN Mario Party's to a different number.

I definitely think 20 coins is a fair price for the star. 30 coins isn't bad either. I can accumulate 20 coins quickly too. While 40 coins for one star (Like Faire Square's occasional nighttime star price) is just outrageous. I say twenty coins is the fairest price for one star in the series, it's right in the middle.

Sure, 20 coins is just the right amount, as everyone has been saying. Not too cheap, not too expensive. Stars for less than 20 coins are all nice and saves yourself some coins, but anything above 20 feels like you're being ripped off. For 40 coins for one star is just dumb. You could have gotten two stars that way.

I agree with everyone else.  It is an easy number to get to but is somewhat expensive.  Part of the challenge is gettingto the star first.  This makes it fair.  No more, no less.  This is funny because I was thinking of this lately!

I do think it is fair, it can be earned with like 2 minigames victories or on the board it can be possible to get coins too, there's always a way in every Mario Party and they can be different, but I'm trying to use them as much as I can. (Orbs, coins on board, chance time and duel spaces and some others.) But not like that I would complain if I can find the star when it's even less expensive, it's even easier and awesome.

It's pretty fair. I mean, pretty much anyone, even those with little to no experience can afford one. You only have to win one mini-game and be careful with your spending at minimum and even if you're down, you can win two. It would also be fair for everyone for it to always be at least 11-15 spaces away from the start the first time around.

It is very fair since it is either way to cheap which involves no skill or to expensive. 20 is a good and traditional number to have for a star

No it's way too cheap these days. Nintendo needs to adjust for inflation.

Of course it's fair! Less than 20 is cheap while more than 20 is too expensive!
