Wii Fit Trainer and Villager will be in the 3DS version, though I'm sure everyone knows this. Sakurai said that both Wii U and 3DS will have the same roster.

Also, you can customize the characters a bit - you can alter the outlines of the characters in the game. This is a nice option, though it really isn't much.

You don't like the cel shading attempt? :p I'm sure that the actual game with the 3D will actually make those ugly lines seem more refined. :p

I'm definitely happy with the confirmation of equal roster - after all at this stage I'm not thinking of a WiiU so knowing that the 3DS will retain characters is a big thumbs up. :D

Yep! I knew about the equal roster, but I was a little confused that WII Fit Trainer would be on the 3DS

Now all we have to wait for is Olimar on the 3DS...

Personally, I hope a 3DS exclusive dude will be in both games, and not like Pokemon. They've appeared on the home consoles! Perhaps like... Mr. AR or something XD

Also I'm starting to see how awful thick outlines are lol, I was initially thinking it w decent cel shading but with how beautiful the current character models are (Peach and Link particularly) the lines not highlighting model detail kinda ruins it. :p

Peach was recently revealed, but a new character has shown today! Toon Link, the Hero of Winds sails his way to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS!

Wow, this is amazing. Toon Link is another returning fighter, and I'm glad to fight as him next year. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD is also available today in Japan. Now we have two Zelda characters confirmed for SSB4.

I'm going to laugh TOO much when I play as Toon Link on the Spirit Tracks stage looking at the conductor as he's Toon Link, too. I am SHOCKED he's in here, but he looks AMAZING. EVERYONE crossed our fairy-friend off their list because of the Spirit Tracks incident. However, in light of the Wind Waker HD release, he's out and proud already! Just like in HD, too, he seems to show LOTS of expression. He even has a Wind Waker taunt! Ahhhh!

I'm happy to see him... but where are the newcomers?!

I call it, one of Sakurai's posts will have the Toon Link in the Spirit Tracks stage and the actual Toon Link in a picture with the caption "Twinsies!"

With proper analysis, we can't really have said that ST Link's presence on the Spirit Tracks stage would have ruled out ANY iteration of Toon Link, because of the timeline iterations. WW Link is in his own right to stand proud next to his descendant(?).

I think they might do the series reveal thing with a few jumps to other random series (I mean Olimar being confirmed outta nowhere... :p). Expecting next few reveals to be Zelda series - which probably means Zelda and Ganon (or some other Ganon expy, possibly Demise...? nah) to round out the quartet.

Olimar was revealed in light of Pikmin 3. In fact, every character revealed has been representing a new game coming out. All except Peach, that is.
Now my prayers of having a Toon Zelda/Tetra character can still come true, which would make five Zelda characters (which, the Mario series did have six in Brawl: Luigi, Peach, Mario, Bowser, Wario, and Yoshi). Normal Zelda/Ganon will most likely be revealed in November and predicted since we got two characters revealed in one month, we won't get a new character in October.
I pray to Din, Nayru and Farore that there will be a Toon Zelda/Tetra character. If she were terrible, I'd use her anyway! I LOVE TOON ZELDA AND TETRA!

Well, we'll definitely get a Pokémon character next month, on the worldwide release. That is, seeing the trend.

Mario representatives in Brawl were not six, just four. Wario and Yoshi have their own series.
