Welcome to Piranha's Poison Stream! This board may seem pretty small at first glance, but every so often, the board will fill up with splotches of acid!!

Whilst more abundant green splotches will only take 2 coins, you may find yourself stepping on purple splotches, which will take 5 coins 🪙🪙🪙🪙🪙

For the first 2 turns, besides 1 fluke near Boo in the bottom right corner, there will be no acid splotches on the board to worry about!

However from turn 3 onwards, every few turns there will be a 75% chance that acid of some amount will show up! This can range from a few puddles on the edges of the board, to almost countless spots of poison almost everywhere on the board!

Point is, no matter what, you should watch your step. Sometimes it might not seem that big a deal. Until you end up in a flood of acid and lose all your coins just before you reach Boo!! The economy can get tough here, paticularly on the highest level of acid, so do whatever you can to take cover, from poison mushrooms to warp blocks to that nice lil warp pipe at the top of the board!

A snifit could spray poisonous gas at you! Dino Piranha could save you from a wave of acid! Lucky spaces and bad luck spaces, game guy or Bowser spaces could turn the poisonous tides! Use any tricks you may have up your sleeve to keep your coins, buy stars, and come out on top!

Given that the main gimmick of this board is losing money, I thought it was going to end up being a bad board, but it actually turned out to be something GOOD. The acid helps to serve by more evening the playing field by taking money from people that have higher coin totals. The max that was on the board when I played was only 77 coins. I was in last place and because of the board mechanics and nice placement of things like boos, shops, game guy, etc. I was able to pull myself back to almost nearly winning the game.

Good board, would recommend playing.

Great gimmick without being to harsh on you, the acid really makes you have to think, I like how using mushrooms and golden mushrooms are made risky, since after turn 3, you have to deal with the acid and, despite the punishment only being 2 or 5 coins, that can really add up, boo is easy to reach, but that makes sense given most of the game, his path is covered in acid, also having a ton of coins here is rare, which makes boo less useful here, a little complaint, the warp pipe at the top of the board leading to a star space feels kind of wrong, I feel like I'm cheating when the star is down in the bottom left, cause if the star spawned there, Id just make my way over to the pipe and get the star way quicker, all and all a great and well made board that makes you think about your surroundings and coins a lot, I like it a lot.

A neat board with a unique concept and danger lurking at every step! The acid puddles aren't overly powerful by taking too many coins at a time, which is good, but they also discourage high rolls, making for interesting strategization required. Additionally, the board's small size makes it easier to get familiarized with the layout and improve strategy decisions. However, it seems the left side of the board leaves much to be desired, as besides aiming for a star, it always seems more beneficial to loop the right side for shops or Boo. Additionally, it would be better if junctions had arrows so that it's easier to keep track of which direction the paths take.

Also, the first time playing, Project 64 crashed from the acid event as I'm using interpreter core to emulate real hardware. This was fixed by changing the ADDIU SP SP numbers from 4 to 8 in the event code. Also, after the acid level reached the highest on around turn 3, it didn't change again.

All in all though, it was an interesting experience with some unique strategies for this board! Amusingly, the CPUs lost all their coins from acid and then chose to land on a Bowser Space to earn back coins on three separate occasions, which was surprisingly strategic of them!
