A surprisingly complex and not too overwhelming board this board does every thing right
I’m usually not a fan of bowser boards because they can be a bit harsh towards the players but this board executes this well
From the start your given 2 paths to choose from left or right upon choosing a path bowser greets you telling you to enjoy his city . Wether you choose left or right Both paths 1st space is a koopa bank space reminiscent of Mario party 2s bowser land where each koopa will give you a 5 coin loan and upon landing in the space required full payment of coins tooken from the bank. Also making a return is the baby bowser shop from Mario party 2.
Strengths :
-Board design is phenomenal and well thought out (The board being so well designed really makes this an enjoyable experience)
-Junctions are clear and easy to see traversing the map
-I like the return of Mario party 2 elements but still used in clever ways
-Like the use of Womp junctions
-The idea of 2 paths + The bowser dialogue + the reverse bank spaces makes for a great and memorable first turn***
-Something is always going on to keep the board interesting
Weakness :
-One of the battle spaces on the right side of the map kept getting landed on not sure if that was just an outlier but I must have played like 10-12 battle mini games in a 20 turn game
-One of the happenings forces you to sell your star which seems a bit harsh for happening space
- Using the bowser suit at the bank or the shop does nothing
- Using the rare Koopa coin item does nothing (Understandably though)
Suggestions
-Have the rare Koopa coin can force a player to pay the full loan at the bank instead of receive coins from the bank (This board only)
-move or remove the battle space
-Remove or adjust the soldier bob-omb who force sells stars
- Give the bowser suit perks when it passes bank or koopa kid item shop
Overall this board is phenomenal and is one of the best custom boards I’ve seen so far definitely underrated
