The Wrath of Cortex was the first Crash game for the PS2 and also came out on XBOX and Gamecube.(I think.) It featured new characters and updated graphics. The whole game got a bit of an overhaul, and was one of the last Crash games to use the classic Crystal-finding system of gameplay. (Twinsanity also had this sort of thing, but just wasn't the same.) And if you have this game XBOX, here's a special cheat to unlock everything. Select New Game from the mainmenu and enter WOMBATS as the title of your game.
