Unexpected/Lucky Encounters

Any Pokemon that you did not see coming, or one that took shorter to encounter than expected?

I remember getting a Shiny Poliwhirl, and I recently caught 4 Hydreigon in Victory Road. Also have a shiny Basculin-B.

Hydreigon aren't that uncommon in victory road iirc. I remember seeing a lot.

I have a shiny Haxorus, I tink it's pretty cool.

I also caught a shiny Wailmer way back on my Emerald I used to have, I traded it to my friend and apparently he still has it. C:

I wish I had luck like that - the only shinies I've ever found was a Geodude by random and a Clefairy through chaining (4th gen).

I found a Shiny Mankey two days ago. And someone sent me a Shiny Leafon through Wonder Trade the same day. I didn't realize it was Shiny until I saw the red star icon.

Okay, this isn't X & Y, but I'm transferring this to Y later.

I realized I forgot to catch the 3 Golems in Black 2, so I went back to get Regirock and Registeel, and borrowed a Regice from another game to awaken Regigigas in Twist Mountain.

Apparently my game knew Regigigas was my favorite legendary, so it gave me this on the FIRST encounter.

He's Lonely-natured, has a perfect IV in HP, and is named Goliath!
