The Child Sites

Forum Portal. Flaming Controller. Generic Grasslands. Legacy Olympic Blog. MPI/MPFS Central.

These are the five child (or sister) sites we have had. The first two pretty much crashed and burned. The third one is dormant... and has been for the last year. The fourth one ended when the Olympics ended, so success. And the last one is currently being worked on.

Any thoughts?

I wish we could have gotten Forum Portal off the ground because it was a great idea.. Maybe if we'd have had more advertising. Generic Grasslands was awesome and I loved your articles. Actually we were all wondering what happened to it.

Although I remember DKH throwing a fit when you opened it lol.

Flaming Controller failed because the community was not on board with the project at all. Literally, it was pretty much just me and SZ working on the site when it was active and the people who said they would contribute help didn't do it at all. It didn't seem like a reasonable project to continue so I just gave up.

If you guys remember the true dates of the closings of the first two sites listed, then let me or SZ know.

Those sites were good for a while, but yeah, it became a lost cause.

The Olympic Blog is not done, it will be back for next Winter.

I'd love to see Generic Grasslands continue. It had amazing articles. We still need MPI/MPFS up in the History Section, SZ.

And yes, DKH was throwing a fit. When you opened up GG after he re-opened up FC again, he was like, trying to bomb GG down to make others believe GG was bad and should come to FC. But it was a joke.
