CHECKPOINT HYPE
Definitely wanted to add some of these in some of my levels I already uploaded tbh. :p

Now where's my Fire Flower on Enemies things I've wanted? :p
I want Fire Bros. and Flame Chomps. And Goombas on Fire :p
And melting Ice.
^^^^^^^^^This so much
Instead of shaking the Piranha Plant to make it a Venus Fire Trap, make it into an upright Piranha Plant, and use the Fire Flower to change into the Venus Fire Trap.
My thoughts exactly, but instead of shaking the Piranha Plant to just change whatever it is you mean by what you said, instead only make it chance colour to the other colour variant, making it faster with it's actions and such. :p
I mean standing like one of these :p.

Curious User just played my invisible block glitch level and pointed something out...

Horray, we now have unbeatable levels on the server.
Seriously, wtf Nintendo. ;_;
Well, Nintendo had to patch it, knowing this would be a problem. It is then the creator's responsibility to alter the level or delete it.

People love to have fun you know... :(
Why are you making such a bold statement? Yes, Nintendo wants us to have fun. But if they have a glitch in the game, they must fix it, especially when people are making levels that abuse this. Like Vip said, this is the creator's responsibility to fix this up so we won't have unbeatable levels online. Nintendo wanted us to have fun, but why abuse a glitch when we could have fun the way Nintendo intended?

From a community standpoint glitches are actually sometimes the best things about games. I used to play Half-Life 2: Deathmatch a lot, which was an extremely bland and boring game for the most part (IMO) but there were some glitches that were just hilarious. I used to play on a fishing server and abuse a glitch where you'd run forward looking down holding an item and then release it to propel yourself into the air. Glitches like this made the game a lot of fun because, while the base game wasn't much, there were all these secret techniques you could master to give yourself an edge. Once Valve fixed it the game became incredibly boring.

New NoE (NoUK?) vid showcasing 3 new features in an upcoming update on the 22nd:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JECCJu_UNaQ

1. Shaking the Grinder (buzzsaw) turns it into a Bumper, which can be super jumped off
2. Shaking the Warp Doors turns them into P Warp Doors which only reveal themselves when a P-Switch has been hit
3. Shaking the Koopa Clown Car turns it into a Fire Koopa Clown Car which shoots fireballs horizontally, and can be charged to fire large fireballs that break hard blocks
Also Course World now tells you the world record times for levels, and the first players that successfully complete levels

Cool! :D

Omg if they're only updating existing tiles based upon shaking them...

Then how about... shaking a Hammer Bro and make it change to Fire/Boomerang Bros! Add a Mushroom to make them "Sledge" Variants!
Apart from that there could be... Goombas (red goombas for alt. move patters) Dry Bones (No idea what could be done here... swap to the dry version of another enemy?) Magikoopa (Something that will murder everyone... or maybe mini-bosses? :p) Thwomp (Whomp? :p) Firebars (those ones from SMB3?) Lava bubble (something amazing) Vine (no idea) Ice (I just want the melt by fire version where you could also put items inside that can only be obtained by melting) 1-way gates (interesting if edited) P-switch (! or ? switches with different effects) POW (something catastrophic) Pipes (Different Coloured Pipes. They could provide different time for enemies
to pop-out).

So many possibilities... so many things... omg I just want these now!
Bumpers are my fav. of the bunch but they all definitely seem to cater to different styles of play. (tbh I still want my major idea of making ? and invisible ? the same via shaking, and adding an adjustable water tile like the semi-platforms that can be shaken to make geysers, and while underwater, are bubbles and whirlpools. =3)

...also since I guess it's worth a mention, but with the new highscore section based upon time... how about adding a separate highscore section based upon your score Nintendo? :p

They need this because outside of the 10 and 100 Mario Challenges, the 1-Ups and coins (especially 10-Coin blocks) are utterly useless in Super Mario Maker. I ask myself, what is the point to these items in a Mario editor game? They serve no purpose other than to increase your score.

You're just taking what I took from the GamexPlain discussion. :p
