This is the die on the Mario Ship. I thought it was pretty cool to add the die to the game. So far I have gotten the star bit 3 times and only 1 time I got a 1-up. What do you think of this new die? What have you rolled so far?

Well, there's another place where you can get dice.
As you progress through the game, you'll be able to unlock a pipe in the Mario Ship's ear. You can buy a Chance Die for 30 star bits. The good thing about this one is it also includes 3-Ups and 5-Ups.

I find it very useless. There are 1-ups everywhere and its never worth it to get 1 star bit. I never pay to use them either. Play the first level and you will easily get 10+ 1-ups.
I hit it if I see it just cause.
Once you get towards the end of the main story you can use the same pipe EpicWaluigi mentioned to buy 5 spins for 100 coins.

It's actually called the Chance Cube but yeah I use it a lot I got over 1300 star bits so I have no problem using it I got 5 life ups once!
I found it usefull mostly when I needed lives for the last level.....and those lives didn't help!
