Sneaker Design Poll

[Toadette]

So I'm decorating these Shoes for School (which starts Thursday) and my general theme is going to be based off my favorite fungus duo, Toad and Toadette. The shoes will be decorated with Sharpie Markers, and so far I have 2 different designs. Which looks better? I'm leaning towards #2, but the Toad in #1 turned out pretty good. Also, you can give out editing ideas (Ex. "I like #2 but you should change Toad's facial expression.")
Tips greatly appreciated.

I like #1 but I think Toadette's expression should be a bit different.  Just my opinion(and if you like you can disregard this if you so desire).
