Yea my first tourney i went to was yesterday Sunday, Jan 6th 2013. I want to first start to say that anyone who plays with meta-knight, don't get any props from me. He is broken and i can explain in many ways but i'm not going to. I don't have any bracket system pics nor took any pics of me while i was there because i do not have a phone or camera.
*My Day*
Just going to explain my highlights while i was there. When i first arrive, i did friendly matches with a boy named Apple (I think). the first match, it was a clone battle between luigi and luigi.
Second match i picked Marth and he pick Meta-Kinght.
Third match i kept Marth and he kept Meta-Knight.
After that, we have to pay the venue fee and to enter the tourney as well. Then Brawl/Melee doubles began ( i wasn't it because i did not have a partner). So i was spectating the doubles for both brawl and melee. I have got to say i never knew how melee was so broken... People was wavedashing, jump canceling, spamming, and etc. I always knew melee was broken but not that broken. Now in brawl, everyone knew Meta-knight was broken and they still was continuing to use him. People all getting excited for the number one meta-knight user when they don't see it. Part of me wanted to make a announcement about meta-knight but i said to myself that i going to let that slide. Next time i'm going to make sure meta-knight is banned before entering. Okay let me get back on track, what happen next after all the spectating, singles started and i was the third one up. My first match i fought a beasting ROB user. i use snake and lost, second match he kept ROB and picked Marth. I lost that as well and the later runner-ups round began. I fought a guy named Biddy and use ice climbers and meta-knight. Also i fought him earlier just before i had to pay. The first match i picked Marth and he pick Meta-knight. i lost then second round started, i pick snake and he pick ice climbers. I lost because of that damn chain-grab. Before i knew, i was out of the tournament. I could have stayed longer and play friendlies but i was tired, hungry, my feet was hurting, and i had school. So yea i had to make that dip move. aside from all of the brokeness, i had a great time. If anyone have questions about my experiences please do not hesitate to ask.
