Satoru Iwata is dead. Long live Iwata

Nintendo recently announced their president, Satoru Iwata, died from complications with a bile duct growth at 55 years on Saturday.

Iwata began his work in HAL Laboratory and is best known for his work on Kirby and Earthbound. He became president of Nintendo in 2002.

Rest in peace Iwata. We will all miss you.

WE are all going to miss him  :'( :'( :'(

He was 55 which is the real sad part, Nintendo will live on and keep thriving as a business. The fact that he died a decade before retirement and likely has a family is incredibly sad.

What about us? What are we supposed to do?
You can start by not making this about you and realize Nintendo will keep going as a company.

Can you not? An important person just died today, and all you can say is "There's still two directors?"

What is wrong with you? Do you just have zero respect for other people?

What about Nintendo's future? Who will lead? What about us?

The two other directors.

This is what he was responding to.

Anyways

Now, I'm not gonna front and say "I'm distraught" or "Em crying." I am certainly upset that it occurred, but I am more-so shocked he's gone. I have experienced personal death, this isn't personal to me, nor is it really to most everyone especially here. It would be WISE to portray yourself in a respectable way, as it just makes you look selfish. He's gone, NOT forgotten. Please remember that.

He took the company in a great direction with the Wii and DS.
It's too bad he'll never get to see what his work on NX and Quality of Life ends up as.
I'll miss seeing him in the Directs and Digital Events.
It's just sad it happened right when he was bringing the company out of a slump.
R.I.P. Mr. Iwata

Shigeru Miyamoto and Genyo Takeda have taken over Iwata's duties, with Miyamoto becoming Acting President.
