Penguins are little creatures that like to slide on their bellies in snow-themed mini-games and boards of the Mario Party series. In Super Mario 64/DS, you had to carry a baby penguin to its mother. You could also race with the big penguin.

Magikoopas use their rod to make magic. They help you in shops and other vendors. Kamek, the leader of Magikoopas and Bowser's right-hand man, is one of the five boss characters in Mario Party DS.

Boos are usually shy, but they conquered their fears over humans. In the Mario Party Series, Boo steals coins or stars for you with a fee of 5 or 50 coins, respectively. He dropped this role in Mario Party 5 (becoming playable) and was replaced by Chain Chomp or Pink Boo. He has his own board called Boo's Haunted Bash in Mario Party 4. He also has a board in Mario Party 8, King Boo's Haunted Hideaway, but this board is led by its king, King Boo.
