My trip to Japan

This is my blog about my trip to Japan. I will keep this updated whenever I can (I need wifi).

So at 1:00pm we left Australia to go on the plane to Kuala Lumpur. We needed to go there as a pit stop because we can't fly straight from where I live to Tokyo. The flight took 6 hours so I'm really tired. Luckily we are in first class (business) for all plane flights so we can lie down and sleep if we want. Now we are sitting down in the airport lounge for 3 hours until our flight to Tokyo which is another 6 hours. I'm extra tired because KL time is an hour and a half behind Australian time so it should be 11:10pm my time but 08:50pm KL time. I can't wait to sleep on the plane and arrive in Tokyo, Japan!

See you guys next time I come on! :)

The trip to Tokyo wasn't as bad to the one to KL. I slept half the time rested for a quarter and played my iPod for a quarter. The bus ride or Narita Airport to Tokyo took around an hour but I was heaps tired...
We walked around the shopping centre near our hotel (which is very nice) and had a rest after lunch for 3 hours. I didn't go to sleep so me and my brother and my sister went to the SC and bought a healthy donut with no icing just chocolate bread. We,re now having pre-dinner drinks before some Japanese dinner and NYE. The weird thing is that the sunsets at 4:30pm so it was very dark at 5:30pm and it's usually dark a 9:30pm in Australia. We are still jetlagged but we have 3 different rooms so it's me and my brother in one, my brother and sister in another and my parents in the 3rd room.

Happy New Year everybody! :D

That's because in the Northern Hemisphere, it's Winter, we have less daylight. However, we'll be getting more daylight and Australians are losing daylight, since the Solstices have passed ten days ago.

I hope you continue have fun there! Happy New Year, Yoshi1! 2011!
I knew all that stuff. :p

Anyway, in the morning we all slept in to 11:00am and had noodles for breakfast which were very tasty. Then we went Japan Disneyworld for a few hours. It was good bit very crowded. There were only 5 "Thrill rides" and all of them had 100 minute lines. There were lines everywhere.....even in the bathrooms! :p we managed to go on a few rides and have a Churros. We came back and I played my iPod. After a while we decided to go to the French Restuarant in the hotel where we are now. I'm not sure what to have.......frog legs or snails? I dont want them....

あなたは良い旅行を抱えているホープ!(Hope you're having a good trip!) あなたは既に帰宅しない限り、その後は良い旅行を持っていたね!(Unless you already got home, then hope you had a good trip!)

Japanese gotten from Google Translate.

Well I know Hiragana and a bit of Katakana but I'm not so sure about that. I would've just used a translator. :p

So today we walked around and had some breakfast at a French Chocolate Cafe which was pretty tasty. We then went to Akaihabara, or Electric Town where there were many shops with electronics. I tried to find a VG store and buy Mario Sports Mix since it's already out in Japan. I had enough money to buy it because if you read my Christmas Presents topic or my goodbye topic, I got 170,000 ¥ so I could afford it. Unfortunately, I didn't find a shop and for the rest of the day I walked around for hours. Only my sister bought a dress and that was the only thing we bought! My legs are like jelly now.....

So now we are going to have Japanese for dinner which should be tasty.

Well, if you bought Mario Sports Mix in Japan, it might be in Japanese. Or worse, you wouldn't be able to play if the Wii is region-locked. I doubt it is, though.
The Wii IS region-locked... Here's a link for confirmation in case you're in doubt. http://kotaku.com/218261/wii-region-locked-confirmed
Anyway Japan seems fun seems fun so I hope you're enjoying your trip a lot.

It's happened before when I got a game from Italy and I fixed it so I'll know what to do.

Today I'm going to try one more store to buy the game and do some more shopping........dang! Well do that for 4 hours and then pack up our luggage to go to Kofu tomorrow. I assume it won't have wifi so I can't come on daily now. So here's what I'm doing from tomorrow:

Going to Kofu by train and sleeping in a Ryokan which is a traditional Japanese house
In Kofu there are hot springs near Mt. Fuji. It'll be cold I guess then. We are there for 2 nights

Then we go to Kyoto, the old Japanese capital. It has all the shrines there. Hopefully wifi is there too.

Next is Hiroshima, where the ruins are. I'm not too sure on it's history but I guess when I get there I'll learn lots.

Then we go to Saporro where the snow is and I can ski there. There should be wifi. It'll be around -8 degrees Celsius but it'll be fun tobogganing in the snow.

So when I get wifi I can tell you how good those places were.

:p

So we arrived at Kofu today by a 1 hour and 15 minute train ride from Tokyo. The place we are staying at is a Ryokan which is a traditional Japanese home. It has a table where you kneel and eat and we sleep on the floor. It's all in one room and it is me and my 3 siblings in one room and my parents in another. Kofu is very hilly but the view is great! You can see the whole town! We see Mt. Fuji tomorrow though. There are also spas in the Ryokan but we were told they were hot springs..........but well have them in the snow anyway. The bad thing is that you have to go in there naked. And I'm not seeing old asian men with no clothes on so I'm waiting until the snows hot spring.
