You probably need amiibo to unlock levels as well, which means you need a lot of amiibo if that's the case and you want 100%... seems like Nintendo is gonna sell a lot more amiibo if this game sells well. Good move on Nintendo's part.
You just need 10 unique figures to fully complete the game. However, Donkey Kong and Rosalina are difficult, since they're called unicorn amiibo, which means you're not likely to find it anywhere other than online for absurd prices (way more than MSRP). Diddy Kong is becoming harder, too.

Fortunately for me, I have all 10 unique figures, so it's no problem for me to fully complete the game if I get it.

There are no unicorn amiibo in Portugal :p

I got an early code for it and it's incredibly dumb and gimmicky in that you must scan an amiibo each time you want to switch to that character. It should just unlock that character for use there on out. I don't want to keep 10 amiibo with me just so I can switch to the respective characters.
Considering this is the company that makes you press your amiibo down on Mario Party for every single turn I'm not surprised.

So lame

Does the Amiibo figure itself contain the data like a common game disc? That could be the reason why you have to constantly swap it out.
