Every page within our Guides and Games main pages now have their unique sidebar menus and accurate navigational breadcrumbs! Each of these menus had to be manually created, so this is a bigger deal than it seems. 😁 A few examples:

The plan is to go into each individual guide and game page and give the content itself an update too, so there may be some page additions and removals here and there. I'll update the menus too to keep them accurate!

Currently making my way through our guides and touching them up with QOL improvements and visual updates.

First up is our Super Mario 64 guide. Changes include new stylized headers and new featured images. The main page also has a neat visual update highlighting each page of the walkthrough.

Our Mario Kart 64 guide and Mario Golf 64 guide also got some minor updates.

Should I be updating all our existing guides and giving them the refresh they desperately need? Absolutely, yes. Is that what I actually did?

No. But, I did put out an entire Mario Kart World unlockables guide. This took... a lot of time, especially over the Switch 2 release weekend. People seem to be using it (and they may even think it's good), so I'm happy.

I also managed to squeeze out a Super Mario Strikers guide just before its release on Switch 2. The game was spotted at one of the Switch 2 preview events before launch, so knew the release was just around the corner.

Luigi's Mansion for the GameCube was shown off in the Switch 2 Direct, so that one shouldn't be too far off too. Maybe in October? Praying I don't drop everything to make a guide for it too.

Forgot to post about this back when I finished it in August...

New Super Mario Bros. 2 got a MASSIVE overhaul. It may actually be our oldest guide, and it needed new images, updated text, and new pages. It's essentially a new guide. Also spent time fine-tuning a layout for Star Coins that I'll use for other games. I'm happy with it!

Here's a quick comparison. The old version:

Paper Mario: Sticker Star got the guide revamp treatment! Wrapped this one up about two weeks ago. We originally published this one back in 2012, and it was the first full guide to really take off. There was some nostalgia going back to this one! The guide got the usual modern revamp, but I also took the opportunity to write up some extra content, specifically for secret door locations, a list of every sticker, and an unlockables page. Images included!

Here's our brand new Mario Tennis Open guide for some reason. Did this need to exist? No. But here we are.

Waaaaay back in 2012, we posted our QR codes guide for Mario Tennis Open. It was very popular! I guess I woke up and decided this needed to be expanded to a full guide 13 years later. It ended up taking a while (big surprise), so I'm pretty confident I won't pull a stunt like this in the future again.
