Jinx's Top 63 Mario Party Boards

#23
Yoshi'sTropicalIsland.PNG

23. Yoshi's Tropical Island

This board is my second-favorite board in MP1. The objective of getting the Yoshis together is rather heartwarming, and the Thwomps can be used effectively to strategize gameplay. Th only real annoyance here is Bubba, which switches Toad and Bowser around, but the music and overall tropical feel makes this a board that gives enough qualities for more games in this board.

22. Koopa's Tycoon Town

This board is my second-favorite board in MP8. The hotel investment system was well executed here, and the increasing quality as more coins are deposited in the hotel are a nice addition. The only thing close to an annoyance is Bandit, but even he is rather tame compared to some of the events in other boards like board reversal and getting shot back to start from a cannon.

21. Toad's Midway Madness

This board is my second-favorite board in MP4. The only annoyance are the teacups, but other than that, this board is rather fun to play through. Its background and music are rather fitting since this is based on a theme park. However, as good as this board is, it just barely missed out on the top 20. Which boards made it? Keep reading to find out!

#20
MP9_DK's_Jungle_Ruins.png

20. DK's Jungle Ruins

The first board in the top 20, and another board undeserving of the hate it gets. This board is designed rather well, and the banana barrel shuffle is a great captain event. DK and Diddy's minigames were fun to play in as well, and overall, this is a great bonus board that stands out moreso than some of the other MP9 boards.

#19
HorrorLand_MP2.png

19. Horror Land

This board is my second-favorite board in MP2. The day-night system was a cool concept executed rather well. There are also many Boos to keep the chaos going, and Mr. Is to mess up anyone in their way when someone chooses to warp. Overall, this is a very memorable board that is definitely deserving of the praise that it gets.

#18
DK'sJungleAdventure.png

18. DK's Jungle Adventure

This board is my favorite board of all of MP1's boards. The only annoyances are the boulders, and even those aren't as annoying as the randomness in Wario's Battle Canyon. The music and design compliment the jungle theme rather well, making this board worth returning to when playing MP1.

#17
Pagoda_Peak_-_Mario_Party_7.png

17. Pagoda Peak

This board is my second-favorite board in MP7. It has some annoyances, like the dragon and the rockets that can send you back to start, and when Bowser breaks the bridge, but the music and design are rather fitting for a Chinese theme, and climbing up the mountain is a nice concept that is well executed, making this a great board in MP7.

#16
MP9_Boo's_Horror_Castle.png

16. Boo's Horror Castle

This board is my second-favorite board in MP9. The dark atmosphere and the Boos really capture the haunted house theme, and thr bosses were fun to play in, especially King Boo's Puzzle Attack. The one real annoyance is the Scaredy Rat Race, and the Boos can get you if you get unlucky, but these events are still better than getting a Bob-omb to explode on you or getting sucked into a whirlpool.

#15
KBHH.png

15. King Boo's Haunted Hideaway

This board is my favorite board of all of MP8's boards. It can be a challenge due to not knowing what's ahead of you. Regardless, the music and design fit the theme of a haunted mansion very well. The only thing that can really mess you up is if you get your star stolen by Bowser or an opponent that gets it from Pickpocket Pinball. This board makes up for it with its tension value making this board more worth repeating than the other MP8 boards.

#14
MPDSPinballBoard.PNG

14. Bowser's Pinball Machine

This is my second-favorite board in MPDS. You can earn truckloads of coins and stars here due to the many events. The slots, roulette wheel, and flippers fit the pinball theme very well. This board is also very well designed and has good music. The only annoyance is Bowser Zone, but bring a Star Pipe or Double/Triple Dice and you'll be likely to get out. Overall, this is a great board that deserves more appreciation than what it gets.

#13
MP4_ShyGuy'sJungleJam.jpg

13. Shy Guy's Jungle Jam

This board is my favorite board of all of MP4's boards. The only annoyance is the Shy Guy statue which can flood the river, splitting the board in two. Other than that, the events were fun to play through, especially riding Klepto. The music and design are great for a jungle theme, making this board shine from the rest of the MP4 boards.

#12
MagmaMineBoard.png

12. Magma Mine

This board is my favorite board of all of MP9's boards. The only annoyance is the magma, and even that is manageable in contrast to Bob-ombs and whirlpools. The path roulette is a nice way to mess up your opponents or escape the lava quicker. The bosses are very fun to play, and it also has the best Captain Event IMO, since you can actually choose when to quit. The music and design are rather fitting for the volcano theme, and all of these qualities make this board stand out from the rest of the MP9 boards.

Neon_Heights_-_Mario_Party_7.png

11. Neon Heights

This board is my favorite board of all of MP1's boards. Other than getting blasted by a Bob-omb, this is a very fun board to play in. There are tons of stuff that keep this board worth playing over the rest, like prop shooting games, rocket launchers, a memory game, and a batting toss-up. The music and design fit the New York theme rather well. However, this board just barely missed out on the Top 10. Which boards made it? Keep reading and find out!

MPDSMusicRoomBoard.jpg

10. Toadette's Music Room

To start off the Top 10, we have my favorite board in MPDS, Toadette's Music Room. This board is very well-designed, with instruments particularly everywhere with tons of creativity. The star system works rather well, especially if you have a lot of coins. The ? Spaces are all interesting, ranging from playing the piano, getting blasted in front of the star by a horn, a violin that summons an opponent, metronomes that switch which notes appear, and Hammer Bro pounding the drum to send you somewhere else. The only problem is its small size, but otherwise, it's a great board worth playing over the others.

9. Faire Square

At Cirno's number we have the town filled with numerous chance events, Faire Square. This board is very well designed and the music is also good. The star system is a great concept of buy as many stars as you want. The events range from a broom carrying you to the center, slot machines, hat shuffling, a chance game involving all players, and a vaccuum house that sends you back to start. The board is especially good at night, seeing as you have a chance to get 5 stars for only 25 coins!

WaluigisIsland_MP3.png

8. Waluigi's Island

At #8 we have Waluigi's industrious island. This board's design and music are perfectly fitting for Waluigi's cunning personality. The events for this board are rather tense, including dynamite, booby traps, a roulette gear determining which way you'd go, and a loop that changes spaces each turn. Overall, this is a great board that deserves a lot more attention than what it's getting now.

Sweet_Dream.JPG

7. Sweet Dream

Oh, heck yeah. Now we're really getting into the Top 10 here. Next up is the board created from dreams of desserts, Sweet Dream. The music and design are very well played, giving an upbeat tone.  The events were interesting as well, including a crumbling gingerbread bridge, cake transport, candy tossing, and a party that lets you get something from each of your opponents. Overall, this board has many features in it to make it my second-favorite MP5 board.

#6
CreepyCavern_MP3.png

6. Creepy Cavern

This board is one great board in MP3, being my second-favorite of that category. The underground theme is played very well in its design and music. The events here are all interesting, including the Whomp King and mine carts. Overall this is an excellent board that does not deserve the hate that it gets.

5. Snowflake Lake

The first board in the Top 5, and another underappreciated board. The star stealing system is executed rather well here, and the design and music fit the winter theme as well. The events are all interesting, including Mr. Blizzard, ice skating, snowball fights, and Freezies blocking paths during nighttime. Overall, Snowflake Lake is a great board to play in, being my second-favorite board in MP6.

4. Bowser Nightmare

This board is just so amazing, it totally does not deserve the hate that it gets. The design and music fit the Bowser theme superbly. The events on this board are very tense, these include Bowser walking from one side to another, hitting blocks to receive some misfortune, a flamethrower, and an annoying circle. Regardless, the overall challenge makes this worth coming back to, making this my favorite MP5 board.
